  1. Past hour
  2. dont worry theyll just stick a fiver on admission price to cover the cost
  3. Keep 15 heats but just do 2 nominated races. Reserves only 3 rides each and it would make it more worth the money seeing the big guys an extra time each. Should adopt the TS rules of Poland too. I also agree just have a superheat/run off for agg purposes
  4. Please can it be arranged that heavy winds are blowing at every future TV meeting. Then we don't have to have that drone thing.
  5. I totally agree. Can't have riders for 2 clubs missing the same match because they are riding the next day, one gets a ban & one doesn't. Which could happen depending on the guest their team chooses to use!
  6. Could always use a tac sub to award a rider who's done the best, even if you can't win. Maybe after Allen for Lambert in heat 14? Strange that Jake was one of the higher scorers but only got 3 rides?
  7. I see Nick Morris is going to be on a very attractive average for next year now. His 8.8 average must have been a majority of good scores for Leicester (I think) in 2022 & a handful of disappointing scores for Birmingham in 2023 before his ban. Now all his 2022 scores have been dropped his rolling ave will consist of just his 2023 & 2025 meetings, currently 6.2ish. While I wasn't in favour of his signing, Berwick were obviously happy to overlook any "previous" so would be daft not to sign him up for next year ASAP.
  8. While I agree with you, technically when a club gets "no facility" they are allowed a "75% guest". The rulebook should really call it a reduced facility. The rules should certainly be tougher on riders missing matches to ride in other leagues.
  9. Today
  10. If I ever start singing sweet caroline, I hope they take me away in Ambulance.
  11. And it was a drawn heat anyway . If they have to persist with this ridiculous extra heat at least they should keep going until they have a heat advantage. Can't understand why the thought of a drawn meeting is such an horrific outcome.
  12. Yeah Belle Vue have passed the transfer cut-off date now. They were never gonna find a better RS than Mulford, but I did wonder how long they would give Zischke? On one hand I admire them for giving him time & not dropping him, but on the other hand think "you dropped Mountain last year, when he didn't do any worse" Mark Lemon favouring Aussies maybe? Although if you go by Champ from Zischke had improved for Workington, but not happening for Belle Vue (so far).
  13. Loved the passion and excitement in Tatums voice....also thought Nicholls interview with Doyle right at the end was first class, only possible where riders are interviewed by riders or ex riders. One disappointment was when Thompson won heat six beating Kurtz from behind, no pit interview with him yet an interview with someone else, think it was Cook.
  14. That happened from 94-96, when they went from the one big league back to 2 divisions, they dropped back to 15 heat matches.
  15. I don't see the need for a superheat. If it's a draw, it's a draw. Not convinced you should have one for the bonus point either as that typically favours the home team. What I would do is make matches 16 heats and have 2 nominated heats, where you have to use 4 different riders. Would benefit teams who aren't quite so top heavy and give us all an extra heat. Would need some thought as to which team names riders first and 7 ride max for a rider, not include heat 15/16
  16. I feel for guys like you that have paid hard earned money to watch the rubbish served up nearly every week by so called home riders.
  17. If the BSPL really don't like draws, why stop half way? Award 2 points for a superheat win & 0 for a superheat loss?
  18. Interesting what Buster said about the track. However, watching from the terraces it didn't seem to give riders any trouble. Just seemed surprisingly slick, which played to Leicesters far superior gating strength. The sun is awkward as it shines directly onto start gate, but never used to be an issue, only seems to be a modern thing? Or was the sun in a different place on Saturday nights? The racing this year has been very good most meetings, but last night was truly awful. All the extra track work made s0d all difference to the racing, just dragged out what was basically a cr@p meeting. Thank God the crowd was poor... On a different subject, have they seen sense and opened the main gate to back car park again rather than clog up the industrial estate?
  19. We just wanted to prolong the agony for you having to watch your team get smashed 🤩
  20. Lambert always tries his best at Ashfield, crowd got behind him when pushing bike for the point,Think he blew an engine later in the meeting. What was David Howe doing, he should have used a Tac Sub, but didnt, was that because he knew it was a waste of time !!!!!
  21. You try getting a no1 to guest at Plymouth on a Saturday night, easier said than done.
  22. It looks to me the arrival of Barry bishop has had a major impact on the improvement of presentation coupled with the track widening. great to see.
  23. There are number One riders out there that can guest, but Plymouth choose to use lesser riders at number one, that to me is "cheating the public". Perthaps I'm "constantly preaching negativity" on the Forum because the sport is going down the pan and clubs are consistently allowing it to happen, rather than try to do something about it. As for the "sport will soon be gone" see above.
