Ipswich v Sheffield Thursday 16th July

I thought he was injured? -
From the little I can find, seems like it will be a very good afternoons racing. Do you know if anyone is recording for download on YouTube? I really do wish more is done to promote this type of meet and the future of the sport. Sadly some supporters are indifferent but where is the next Dan Bewley going to come from if you do not get behind the youngsters. It’s a pity that the nearest club Ipswich, do so little at this level. Enjoy the afternoon.

Just as likely to get 1+1 on Thursday... it was either him or any other Fox or Ace based in the UK though so slim pickings really for those that can perform around Foxhole... I wonder if they asked Doyley 🤔 😉 -

Looking forward to the NSS this Sunday at 1pm. Races galore for £15 or free if you’re under 12 (£6 if you’re under 18). None of the unnecessary GP riders, run at a time to suit which is also good for families with a comfortable grandstand view. I’ll probably have to get there early to avoid disappointment as this ticks all the boxes for speedways new golden era. Note to the promotion, leave the GP stand up next time as this event will be rammed. It’s good to see a club actually taking on board the brilliant, cannot fail ideas presented on this very forum. I don’t know if I can live with their smug “told you so” comments on here after the event. See you all there.

To be fair his kit may be top notch, we don't really know, but it's often not been cleaned 🤷♂️

That meeting had it all. Heat 14 and we were about 6 points down and we brought in Emil Lindqvist as a tac sub for one of the reserves and Wato as a golden double tac from 15 metres back. Glasgow gated on a 5-1 but Lindqvist dived under one of the Glasgow riders on turn 2 and the Glasgow rider come down. By the time Emil got back to the pits there was a crowd of Glasgow riders , management and mechanics waiting for him at the pits gate and he was pulled from his bike and stamped on on the floor. That tosser Beveridge was the one to cause his shoulder to pop out which effectively ended his career. in the rerun Smart replaced Lindqvist and we got the 8-1 and won the meeting. Wato was sensational that day, possibly the best performance I ever seen from him in a Newport race jacket. Superb. Think he got 19. i have said it before but Lindqvist would of gone on to become a top rider. He came over with Sweden under 21s and got the most faultless 15 point maximum I have witnessed at Newport against the Wasps. Beat Wato from the back three times and wiped the floor with Henriksson three times. When he signed for us a few weeks later his team riding was another level for such a young rider. He could gate, pass and team ride. That shoulder injury finished him, he did come back that season but i think his shoulder popped out mid race and he crashed again. Tim Stone told us that the plan was for him and Anders to spearhead the 2000 side the following season and he was going to bring his top gear and set ups over. Obviously never happened. i seen iversen come over and he was impressive to say the least but Lindqvist, for me, would of been better.

Or if he could really be bothered with the prep could he put a point to point and a half on his average as I have said previously if a rider has no lofty ambitions and just wants to earn a good living he is the blue print even allowing for just slinging the gear in the van untouched from the last meeting. -
Would agree.Like my Seb Alden hoodie states” Second is first loser’.

Maybe we can replace Lawson with a GP star once the cup final is over
