  1. Past hour
  2. Both parties can share blame on that front I think, Borke was never fit, was never going to be fit and was rightly replaced. But he should never have been signed and/or he shouldn’t have accepted, you can look at it either way. Given that it sounds like it was a pretty messy breakup though I would be astounded if he was signed again and personally I’d much rather take a punt on someone new.
  3. The Speedway Show is happening this coming Saturday 15th November 2025, more information here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61550576383947 The consortium aiming to preserve Speedway in Peterborough in a joint initiative with the Peterborough Panthers Supporters Club have a stall at the event and we will be delighted to welcome members from the BSF for a chat and to ask us anything about our campaign and its progress. As an added attraction, we have some items on display that will very much not only interest supporters of Peterborough, but also specifically, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Reading and Swindon. We look forward to meeting as many Speedway Supporters as possible, irrespective of which team you support.
  4. Teesside University Students’ Union, Campus Heart, Southfield Road Middlesbrough, TS1 3BA
  5. Don't knock fixture repetition too much, Glasgow hosting Edinburgh for the 5th time last season was an absolute cracker of a match. Lots of passing, close races, crashes, breakdowns, riders unexpectedly popping up with great rides (and the odd unexpectedly duff one), a last heat decider and some dodgy refereeing (the ref accidently leant on the ref lights button halfway through a race). Best meeting I've seen in the 40 years that I've been going to speedway
  6. Along with All The Young Dudes, despite his guitar being 'electric junk' following his Memphis trip. I'm not that old but I recently got into Mott The Hoople along with Uriah Heep, Nazareth & Jethro Tull. Anyway speedway then, still no firm news re: 2026 I take it....
  7. Think early season the warm dry sunny weather and afternoon meetings affected track preparation a lot, later in the season running later in the day certainly helped out. Evening meetings under lights would help, but would you spend a lot of money putting in lights, given the potential state of speedway is in at the moment. We the fans, at all clubs don't even know for sure that the AGM has gone ahead or been postponed to January 🤔
  8. It's an absolute disgrace and shows the regard the BSPA (Clubs) have for their fans and complete lack of respect. Speedway star announced it was obviously 12th November then changed to the 6th of January via the speedway star. Nothing on the official BSPA website, which is poor and before the goody lot start coming back with 'its delicate and confidential' and that's why nothing can be said. Come on! they don't need to give details just give the supporters some basic information instead of radio silent and hope! Lets face it, Oxford and Birmingham didn't close yesterday! We have known since August (promoters knew longer than that) have they sat around for 8 weeks hoping someone will wave a magic wand and hope everything will be sorted, get real! It's a poor show and the fans deserve better.
  9. With Santa gonna be quite worried about the March 'rain dear'.......
  10. Will have to save these quotes up for the end of the season when you are singing Harrisons praises. Luke has always been levels above Hodder and will continue to climb whilst i think Freddy has already exceeded any expectations i had of him and much like Perry already found his level. As for Harrison vs Boughen comparison thats years of careful consideration, planning and learning vs quick blast and hope for the best.
  11. Jeppesen was one of the signings of the season. We brought him in to replace Danyon and he ended up Number 1
  12. To me Kildemand ‘took’ to being a Bandit a lot more than Jeppesen, I think JJ was merely interested in bulking out his fixtures, which may be the case again next year, but Kildemand seemed a lot more involved. Jeppesen was sensational for us though, but I could easily see him not coming back to UK.
  13. You clearly know nothing about Luke Harrsion. Your initial point was that Glasgow wouldn't take the risk on him because he is a similar age to Boughen but that's a daft reason to not sign him. Sounds like Glasgow have anyway and I think he'll do really well, he's an extremely talented young rider and most importantly a racer so Ashfleid will suit him perfectly.
  14. Sod off! I'm getting an Aces Season Ticket for Christmas... Oh... Hang on.....
  15. The lad looked a racer in his first season but didn't he look like he was still struggling with the injury/s when he came back to Berwick this year
  16. I was thinking Jeppersen as a Bandit, maybe Jeppersen to Workington then. I was very impressed when he guested for Poole.
  17. Today
  18. yeah i am confident PK will be at Berwick
  19. Would have thought Kildemand to Workington.
  20. So someone's prospective team sits above 36 but below 37. You couldn't make it up..... oh but they do🙂
  21. You would have hopped that they would have had some kind of contingency plan to immediately switch to in the likely event that the TV contract was not going to be renewed.
  22. 17, 18 who cares. According to his own website he's 17, you'd better tell him to update it. And remind me of a time when Luke Harrison scored highly around Ashfield, or for that matter looked anything other than a reserve when he visited the place. Hodder is probably a better bet for next year than Harrison (on an average more than 2 points lower).
  23. They set the 3-year points limit (40 points) at last year's AGM - subject to the same number of Championship clubs! Lets not forget that Scunny (Rob Godfrey) and Poole (Danny Ford) are 50% of the BSPL Board of Directors. They other 2 are Chris Louis and Damien Bates.
