Overall, a decent meeting to start off our season... 2 or 3 exceptional races, credit to both teams for that.
- Today

The track is usually quite grippy particularly around the the fence at scunny, maybe it was prepared slick due to the early season weather / coldness.
-
No thats british speedway in 2026 unless you go to bv or glasgow. Good match enjoyed myself.
-
Josh Pickering is going to be entertaining this year, he rides the bike like hes stole it. MPT was poor in 13 he could have easly made the 2mins, not very professional. The track was a a bit slick was rain expected?
-
Nice start to the season for the Scorpions with Picko leading from the front and remaining six riders doing a solid enough job! Suspect this will be the type of scorecard that Scunthorpe will produce more often than not when at home this season!
-
He certainly thrived with the extra responsibility of being a number 2 at Birmingham and last year improved again. He looked very impressive at Lynn last week especially coming back from a broken leg.
-
Agree. He definitely has the ambition to be mixing it with the worlds best in the GP’S and I know from talking to Ritchie last year that he feels he’ll make it. Having the extra pressure and responsibility of being THE main man at the top of the team instead of having the comfort blanket of Emil and Doyle doing the heavy lifting, may well help pull him along even quicker. Hopefully he thrives on the extra responsibility.

Adam Ellis is riding in Poland, Sweden and Denmark so can’t race in the U.K., and has no plans to
-
You have to think of the benefits. With his MBE he can see the whole track. MBE = Massive Big Eyes
-
Poor motox bet they wondering what they have done to deserve that 😂

Well if Tom has ambitions to reach the top then he needs to keep progressing as he has done to date A great opportunity to push on to that 'real No1' status -
he's been doing that for a while now
-
Good luck to Marc Marquez at the Brazil GP! Starting third, but I still think he can win.

I think we know what (Carmarthen) Dragon Dean Felton thinks and if (speedway) Lord (Tim) Sugar has a view I'm sure he'll find a way to communicate it.

Just watching MXgp (Moto X gp ) on TNT sports and Kelvin is the commentator.

What about Northampton?
THE DEAN MACHINE replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When you take a deep look in to the sport in the grand scheme of things, it actually does ok for itself, with no funding whatsoever and very little sponsorship and media exposer, there are a lot of other sports that get far more of the above and far smaller crowds and are far more in debt but speedway could be so much better than it currently is and that’s down solely to us as a sport -
Or 'cobbled' together! Pardon the pun.

I can only presume it is to show those councils currently deciding on whether to give house building permission, on ex Speedway sites, that the sport isnt in steep decline and confidence is so high in its growth that a new track has opened... Those fighting the developers can point to both Northampton and Buxton as examples of people seeing a bright future... Personally, if they had a couple of hundred thousand to spend I would have used it to grow the businesses of the 14 current tracks through national marketing and special offers... An extra 500 at each would make a huge difference given the low starting point, and bring another 7,000 fans in to the sport.. Even if Northampton is a "success", there won't by anything like 7,000 there each meeting.... Fingers crossed it works, however, the optics of having your team compiled by your opponents doesn't sit well in a professional sport....
