  1. Past hour
  2. I think your score prediction is about right. As a Lions fan, I’d be surprised if we could get 40 points. I think our engine room of Morris & Kemp will struggle at the NSS. If I was the team manager (which I’m not and I respect Mr Dickson) I would probably have swapped Thompson & Rowe’s riding positions. That said, I’ve never really believed that riding order influences the overall score. Riders are either delivering the points or they’re not.
  3. Breaching Copyright if not.Cheques in the Post no doubt🤔
  4. With all the best will in the world... The competition itself isn't a "puller"... And Doyley has done probably thousands of laps in the UK... Maybe 1200 (at most) will bother turning up?... My lads four closest mates watched the GP's on TV and all said to him, "Eff me, how good is that?".. None of them had a clue about Speedway... Ironically their dads did!!!! And all said that they would like to go and watch... He told them to go with him to the British Final as there isn't any point attending "a league meeting"... He is 23... A perfect target audience... The British Final will have four brand new Speedway fans..
  5. Butcher isn't developing, he's as accomplished as he's going to get. The other one at 2 has been riding a few years now because he started on an ex ludvig lingren bike to thats a while back. Don't know about the 3 ride thing, end of the day the aim is to win the meeting.
  6. Zielona Góra are poor, only two riders likely to score. Lebedevs not at races. At some point we'll have to consider Grudziądz as genuine title contenders.
  7. Good to see Will Cairns giving it a go tonight... He will see what a level he needs to be at to be a "proper" top level rider... Good also to read Tom B's honest appraisal of himself in the Speedway Star... A massive way to go for these lads... Let's just accept where they get to without criticism...
  8. What's he doing on here, it's normally a Poole thread
  9. Certainly showed up Berwick weaknesses.Looked good.Morris has quite a lot of bike troubles, needs to cut them out when riding for Bandits.
  10. Today
  11. Hopefully the great racing last weekend might whet the appetite of 'lost fans' who used to go to the sport years ago and might be tempted back. I paid for my GP tickets when they came out a few months ago, so the financial 'pain' was a while ago. Would have thought that there might be a few more there tomorrow to see Doyle's debut though. Early days, I guess, but there shouldn't be any weather issues, so I'd have been hopeful of a good crowd.
  12. Don't be two hard on them this is a development league any reason the wee Australian girl only had 3 rides or win at all costs

  14. It was a no for us last time in ‘24 so I’m not optimistic. However the weakening of the cartel over the winter might see a different outcome.
  15. No surprise. Buxton let down massively by two riders. If you can't score a point on your home track then there's obviously a problem.
  16. Ticket sales either side of last years GP's were not great... If roughly 6500 attended each night of the GP's and around (at least), 50% of them were Aces followers, (as it anecdotally appeared), then that is s lot of money paid out... Conversely, and very positively, it shows that plenty of people locally... a) Know what Speedway is... And b) Know about Belle Vue Speedway and where the NSS is... The challenge is, for not just Belle Vue, but all teams, to get all who follow the sport, and know where their local track is... To deliver up something they see as worth attending regularly.. Can they do that? ... That is truly the question... The following is definitely there, as the play offs regularly show... The infrastructure they use, to get people there regularly, maybe not so...
  17. Looking forward to going to this and seeing Doyle's debut. Ticket sales didn't look promising on the website earlier though. With Kildermand and Blodorn back in the team I can only see a comfortable home win for the Aces, but it will actually be nice to see the team without guests. 52-38
  18. First meeting of the season for me at Berwick and I picked a good one. Super debut from new signing Jenkins, keep that up and he will surely be riding himself into Berwick`s team or someone elses. Hopefully the person taking away in an ambulance is feeling better today. What was the booing of Leon Flint all about.
  19. Agree regarding Team managers they have not got a lot of room for changes but you to give the best men on the night the extra rides.Dickson got it spot on at Berwick on Sat.Palovera and Fredricksen both got taken out for reserve.IT was the match winner IMO.
  20. Going by his score last nite, he's already trying to reduce his average for next year 😜
  21. Yes batch gets some stick from fans but rarely lets the Comets down and has often kept the team in meetings away from home . i personally did not suffer from dust on the second bend this week and thought the track held up well considering the drying wind but was a cool day for June Max Perry is starting to get his confidence back and riding well , Jonas struggled with the track a bit I believe and if Tate could improve his gating he would have an easier life but less entertaining for the fans 😃
