  1. Past hour
  2. I’m still adamant Lidsey and Cook tonight hold the key to the meeting Keep these two to a combined score of 14 or less and job done
  3. My first ever Speedway meeting as a 6 year old was Cradley v Newport in September 1968. A damp, exciting spectacle under the lights, I was smitten straight away and my favourite rider from night one was Chris Julian. The programme shows paid 9 from 3 completed rides and an exclusion, I can remember he was involved in some typical Julian escapades during the evening. Sadly his career as a Heathen only lasted one more home meeting for me as when we came to the tapes in 1969 he was no longer a Heathen, but a Wasp. Still maintained a soft spot for him throughout the rest of his career and can remember going to see Newport when they rode at Monmore the following season (a place we would usually only visit when the Heathens were there).
  4. I think 12 is easily getable back at foxhall No tac subs allowed and twice at Foxhall Belle Vue have bought Kurtz in as tac sub and got two 5-1’s…. They can’t in this
  5. I was asked several weeks ago and have texted the last few home meetings. Was ready to do the same on Saturday, but alas there was no updater
  6. Yes, Woryna will ride after all. Still a partially fractured wrist but Woryna claims that he is fit.
  7. Especially with some clubs having large gaps in the fixture lists. How would they ever cope with 2H & 2A?
  8. I would think the other way would make more sense, fans may turn up to the BSN / KOC finals in greater numbers of they don't know if there's a play-offs final to come or not?
  9. Should have got the BSN series finished months ago. It's normally the same teams in the later stages of competitions, so spreading the finals out makes sense to me.
  10. Small home win for Belle Vue tonight 48-42 . Cannot see Brad Kruz or Danny Bewdley risking too much with an " SGP" coming up. Weather wil upset the second leg - as always in the p.offs.
  11. Today
  12. Full Teams and a good match in prospect ..rare for uk Speedway
  13. Oxford have managed 30 including the SRBF meeting between 23rd March and 25th August. The only home league fixture outstanding is against Leicester lwhich had been scheduled for last Thursday since fixtures released which was cancelled due to a waterlogged track.
  14. Who can predict British Weather.British Speedway has ran in Oct for at least the last 60 years. Don’t know how they managed when there was 30- 40 Teams in the League.Just pure organisation all round.IMO
  15. If done correctly [i.e. logically] then remove Coops points and promote the riders behind and Kent lose 11 points while Birmingham gain nine. I make that Kent 43 Birmingham 44. Of course if ht 14 had been called correctly it would be 44-43 to Kent.
  16. Obviously, too much. I won’t be disappointed again.
  17. It's not advice. I'm just not sure what you were expecting.
  18. Confirmed teams from around 5.30pm UK time live updates from 6pm https://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Columns=CompetitionInfo,Branch,Name,Organizer,FromDateShort,LiveResult&DateFilter=TODAY&pagesize=10&IsArrangeable=true &ShowSearch=true&Style=SvemoWebsite&CompetitionId=17344
  19. Even when they adjust the score, we still lost.
  20. Brave choice. Hasn’t been to Poole yet. Also even they didn't have much choice than to ride Tuesday, weather wise better forecast than Weds atm!
  21. SCB STATEMENT: KENT v BIRMINGHAM (SEPT 7) Monday, September 8, 2025 ON Monday 8th September the Speedway Control Bureau investigated the reasons why Vinnie Foord did not ride for Kent at their home NDT fixture versus Birmingham on Sunday 7th September when the original fixture that Mr Foord was meant to be riding in on the 7th Workington v Berwick in the Cab Direct Championship had been postponed some 15 hours previously. It was stated that Mr Foord who currently cannot drive himself and is based in Scotland has no means of transport to arrive at Kent in time for the 12pm start time. The SCB Referee at the Kent fixture had been informed that Mr Foord was unavailable for this fixture and having consulted the SCB had at that time had correctly allowed a facility, however on further investigation this should not have been authorised and the score of the guest for Cooper Rushen will be deleted from the meeting result. The meeting result will now be amended to – Kent 39 – Birmingham 35
  22. Oh dear, sounds bad. If you have a replacement hip then if my experience is anything to go by, after about 7-9 weeks you won't even notice it's a false one. Best wishes.
