  1. Past hour
  2. It doesn't matter what fans want though. Only what they want. They probably going to sit there til 6th Jan until someone agrees to move up. We are basically as you were on Nov 12th, so delaying sounds like a massive waste of time right now 😔
  3. Today
  4. Aye not even room on center green/mud to land me helicopter either 😛
  5. Great as far as I am concerned. So something good, at least, will emerge from this current debacle we find ourselves in. What's left of out great Sport will at least, be credible and have some sort of integrity.. It makes me really sad to see how things have gone. The thing is that most of our problems are self inflicted.
  6. Unlucky Kings Lynn... So close to the play offs again...
  7. Could be the four I mentioned and one from the Championship or a.n other if Ipswich don’t get sold. If it IS a five team league, they’re simply going to have to change the rules and do away with play offs for next year at least. Top team wins the title. It’s the only way.
  8. Ipswich I assume under new owners, remember Louis said he wouldn’t go champ or if it’s a 5 team league he will step away. no one wants to see a 5 teams league. Would be the worst decision ever. just hope it’s a just a rumour.
  9. Ul have to land on the flyover as thats the only spot with space
  10. Belle Vue, Sheffield, Leicester, Kings Lynn, and??
  11. It’s just not good enough, it’s destined to fail, fans don’t want it, it doesn’t interest me at all
  12. pugh, pugh, barney Magrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb + Ermyntrude
  13. 5 team premiership im hearing 🙄🙄🙄🙄
  14. Four green bottles hanging on the wall…….
  15. I have posted this before but Was a big fan of John Perrin, straight talking northerner, he didn’t care who he offended, had some laughs in his company whenever I raced at or for belle vue, I know he was owing money to riders from time to time but he never owed me any, Graham dury was a marmite character too, riding for Graham I found him awkward but when not riding for him we often had long chats about the sport and he often backed me when I was speaking my mind about the sport, he offered me team managers job at Birmingham which I turned down and he told me he didn’t understand why I turned it down but respected me for not just taking it if I didn’t want it
  16. Very dubious Iain Bill was yet another promoter who was probably reasonably wealthy when he got into the game most likely skint five years later.
  17. Because they don’t want to lose money on additional meetings helping bringing British youngsters through unless those youngsters are prepared to pay for everything from racing here or abroad and then if the odd one suceeds they claim them and shower them with affection until they blow up and walk away and deny they ever existed! And that’s where the story ends
  18. So what do you think the team is ?
  19. Half of sweet naff all. No one would buy into a club or a sport where the business model and future is determined by third parties and the investor has no say as to when and how you run your business because the speedway ‘masons’ decide what will and will not be. Those running the sport need to get real but unfortunately they are so far up their own backsides and do not realise that the current business model does not work and also fail to grasp the fact that the sport is being run into the ground because they cannot see the wood for the trees. Not only have those who are custodians of the sport let down the investors and potential investors but have from a great height pissed on every punter who pays to watch the sport and frankly the supporter is just cannon fodder.
  20. Not paying his electric bill? I remember one night at Kirky Lane v Coventry when Colin Pratt and several of his riders complained about the track being "too heavy' which ended up with a track inspection and work done on it, which seemed to be lasting forever. Pratt and a few of his riders were on bend one, pointing out various issues to the track team as they made changes, and whilst pointing this out, John Perrin emerged from the adjacent pits with a bucket full of shale, and presented it to Pratt.. When interviewed by the centre green presenter Perrin told him that he had told Pratt that he could take it back to Coventry with him to use on his track, given his track didnt ever have any shale on it... In an interview with the Speedway Star the week after, Pratt got asked what his response was... He said that he told Perrin that he would never tell him how many onions to put on the burgers that John sold from his many burger vans, so Perrin shouldn't tell him how to prepare a Speedway track...
  21. What’s the current asking price for a “speedway club” ? There seem to be a few available at the moment….which must make it a buyers market
