  1. Past hour
  2. Presume MPT and team manager got a dressing down from Rob for not watching the 2 minute clock ticking down? Presentation was pretty poor, with the fan baiting from the infield somewhat tiresome and unprofessional. Once again music is loud ,but box presenter is almost inaudible.😒
  3. Today
  4. The flaw in that plan is that Stock Car racing isn't a 'local sport' and is very much a 'travelling circus'. There are fans in all areas, but the bulk of the fans at Northampton on Saturday night would have been at Kings Lynn the previous Saturday, and will probably be at Scunthorpe next Saturday. I would hazard a guess that on average, only about 10% of the crowd at a stock car meeting live within 50 miles of the track. I do 35-40 meetings a season, but my nearest track is about 35 miles from my home, and most other tracks I visit are around 60-90 miles away, with others further still, such as Taunton at 220 miles, and St Day (Cornwall) and Cowdenbeath (Scotland) both just over 300 miles. F1 stockcars still have a strong following in the North West due to past history, despite there no longer being any tracks up that way, so many fans at their meetings are travelling from North and West Yorkshire, Manchester and Lancashire.
  5. Overall, a decent meeting to start off our season... 2 or 3 exceptional races, credit to both teams for that.
  6. The track is usually quite grippy particularly around the the fence at scunny, maybe it was prepared slick due to the early season weather / coldness.
  7. No thats british speedway in 2026 unless you go to bv or glasgow. Good match enjoyed myself.
  8. Josh Pickering is going to be entertaining this year, he rides the bike like hes stole it. MPT was poor in 13 he could have easly made the 2mins, not very professional. The track was a a bit slick was rain expected?
  9. Nice start to the season for the Scorpions with Picko leading from the front and remaining six riders doing a solid enough job! Suspect this will be the type of scorecard that Scunthorpe will produce more often than not when at home this season!
  10. He certainly thrived with the extra responsibility of being a number 2 at Birmingham and last year improved again. He looked very impressive at Lynn last week especially coming back from a broken leg.
  11. Agree. He definitely has the ambition to be mixing it with the worlds best in the GP’S and I know from talking to Ritchie last year that he feels he’ll make it. Having the extra pressure and responsibility of being THE main man at the top of the team instead of having the comfort blanket of Emil and Doyle doing the heavy lifting, may well help pull him along even quicker. Hopefully he thrives on the extra responsibility.
  12. Adam Ellis is riding in Poland, Sweden and Denmark so can’t race in the U.K., and has no plans to
  13. You have to think of the benefits. With his MBE he can see the whole track. MBE = Massive Big Eyes
  14. Poor motox bet they wondering what they have done to deserve that 😂
  15. Well if Tom has ambitions to reach the top then he needs to keep progressing as he has done to date A great opportunity to push on to that 'real No1' status
  16. Spencer

    Motogp

Good luck to Marc Marquez at the Brazil GP! Starting third, but I still think he can win.

  20. Easy if u had seen me years ago flying round on my bantam 125 lol
  21. I think we know what (Carmarthen) Dragon Dean Felton thinks and if (speedway) Lord (Tim) Sugar has a view I'm sure he'll find a way to communicate it.
  22. Just watching MXgp (Moto X gp ) on TNT sports and Kelvin is the commentator.
  23. Wot about grandad 😀 I'll pay to watch that 😂😂
  24. When you take a deep look in to the sport in the grand scheme of things, it actually does ok for itself, with no funding whatsoever and very little sponsorship and media exposer, there are a lot of other sports that get far more of the above and far smaller crowds and are far more in debt but speedway could be so much better than it currently is and that’s down solely to us as a sport
