How so? Poole ride on Wednesday's, so no clash with the Premiership, with Denmark the only other league running that night... So, if riders are in Denmark, just use guests for any missing riders like the majority of all meetings do...

Really interesting topic. I don't like any of those AI suggestions and the trouble with using the word Dirt is that it has negative connotations. Looking at high profile sports branding the shorter the better and often it's the governing body/promotion name which takes precedence. F1, NFL, NBA, WWE, UFC, EPL, ECL, MLB, NHL. The name of the sport remains but people refer to the competition. i.e. they say did you watch the NFL last night, not did you watch the American Football or Gridiron. I'd focus on Oval Track and rebrand it OTR. Would open up the content to include other disciplines like short track or quad racing for example as that might be what the events look like in the future. Oval Track Racing (OTR) lets the punters know what to expect. i.e. racing on an oval track. I'm willing to accept my £1 million consultancy fee in used notes in a brown paper bag. I don't mind if Harry Redknapp is given the credit for the sake of puplicity.

Being a happy clapper has played a role in British Speedway's decline over the years. In any form of life, You have to be vocally honest in order to generate change, If I post positive comments about this season every day then I'd be straight up lying for likes. My posts have been more negative than positive this season granted but I have praised the Club when credit was due like the Wroclaw agreement for example. I want this season to be a one off and I don't want more of the same in the future therefore I'm left with no choice but to be honest this year and express my concerns on what can be improved even if it comes across as ungrateful and negative. I've stated on numerous occasions that Mayfield were behind the 8 Ball this winter and I'll always stick by that, 2027 Team Building is the be all and end all as to which direction the Club is heading in but we'll just have to wait to see what unfolds on that front. Paul Hurry is indefensible though whether he's on £0 or £1,000 a night, Can't be making basic mangerial mistakes one week that costs the Club League Points and then throwing tantrums at opposing managers a couple of weeks later for getting beat by the better team on the night.

Live on BSN Won't be an easy win, if anyone can get close here it will be Northampton. Kildermand will be out injured again. Getting tests on his shoulder to see the extent of the damage. Ben cook or a dan Thompson guest most likely. RR would work also.

Glasgow v Edinburgh Scottish Cup 1st Leg 11th July
Pinny replied to eide67's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
i would not pay him a penny after that performance. there are some riders you don't ask to guest and he is one of them. Its like teams who would ask Bjarne Pedersen to guest for them vs Poole. Why would you bother? R/R giving everyone a ride would of been a much better decision and probably would of given Glasgow the win. Glasgow have improved ten fold, great track , great fans, great stadium but whoever makes the team decisions needs the boot. -
He’s talking about the previous fixture against Belle Vue. To be fair to Hurry, it’s easy to question his selecting with the benefit of hindsight knowing Belle Vue had a last heat 1-5. But from their programmed rides, Lawson was 3, 1’, 3, 3 and King was 2, 2, 3, 3. Musielak was 3, 3, 3, 0. Although Musielak’s duck egg was a tough heat 13. It wasn’t an obvious choice for heat 15, and IMO King and Lawson are slightly better gaters than Tobi so I didn’t disagree with the choice at the time personally. I certainly wouldn’t describe it as a major clanger. On your second point about changes,, There are so few options once the season gets underway that any are likely to be like for like. People mention Doyle, but Belle Vue asked the question when they had a vacancy but we’re talking about a rider just shy of an 8 point average. You’d have to remove Brennan probably and at least one other, and with Brennan struggling everywhere and losing rides abroad, Coleman doesn’t strike me as the sort of owner to add to his problems and dump him here also. As I’ve said before, that may be irritating to supporters in the long term who want success and instant changes when things aren’t going well, but the flip side of that, is I can see Coleman being a popular owner for riders to ride for. He seems genuinely supportive and sympathetic to riders as we saw from the way he dealt with the rider insurance issue so I don’t think he’ll be short of offers from riders over the winter wanting to ride for him. That can only be of benefit to Ipswich.

I think the fact that not one Edinburgh fan has stood up for Cluff speaks volumes. Also the two guests have had a massive impact on the result. -

Very bizarre choice of guest unless Kemp agreed to do it for nothing more than travel money and a standard pay per point return, but you can probably figure he only agreed to it based on a guaranteed points return and then people wonder why some riders cant be asked. -
Crazy! You think they would have looked to when England matches were potentially going to be and put meetings on in the 3 or 4 weeks we havent had a home meeting!

Ipswich Witches vs Leicester Lions 9th July
Bagpuss replied to ShanoXtra's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Too much clay unfortunately, its good for stock cars though and that's what makes most of the money. I also think Lynn's track would benefit from the white line being taken in a bit. Shorter straights, wider bends. It can be good, we see the odd very good race but generally riders get too strung out too quickly and its very difficult to make up ground once behind because of all the heavy roost. -

You have just completely contradicted yourself massively. The fact Castagna is also just as close to the GPs as Harris shows what an easy route it was to get there. Harris has been poor this season and is getting on in age, so yes I think its fair to say he has lost his edge. -
Saying Smith was a better rider is bonkers he was pretty dangerous on a bike and bang average, Havvy wasn't bad but won the world final on a terrible track and he was the only one that really fancied it that night, Collins, Loram, Screen, Morton all great racers but none have three world titles, Tatum wass a trapper but didn't have that extra 10% to get to the very top. Saying Smith is better than Woffy is like saying Jonhathon Grahn was better than Rickardson.

With Poole now running home league meetings on Wednesday 5 August and Friday 7 August, what chance the Pairs scheduled for Saturday 8 August gets postponed? - Today

Don’t forget the Championship Pairs on the Saturday as well. Something will have to give.

Excellent post spot. I think Coleman has ruffled the feathers of the BSPL too. -
What about. IVE HAD ENOUGH!
-
You wanna buy an umbrella?
-
Did someone cut there selves on a broken glass. You mentioned bar injuries?
-
We also know this to be true, he’s admitted it himself. The BSPL have form for this kind of behaviour though, Louis also admitted to being “ ostracised” by his fellow BSPL members over his signing of Sayfutdinov!

Oh dear. Not good having two home meetings in three days. Fans will pick which one to go to. How many weeks since last home meeting? By the time we have another one probably be raining again lol.
