Yes you are right and all second half meetings should be using these riders. Take it for what it is, which is those trying to make a way in the sport. It has costs supporters nothing if you are watching the stream so I don’t see an issue. For the purist who only want league racing it is not for those followers. Credence for Ipswich and the mentors who have been on site offering help and advice and putting the meeting on. No different to some of the meetings in Poland with the junior riders. I really do not get those who criticise this level but each to their own.

Trouble is there is a disparity between the riders …. 7 riders who ride at championship level including Rushen and the rest out of their depth which makes it a poor spectacle Mulford shouldn’t be riding either Poole v Glasgow was shocking you can’t compare a league match to an individual where the field is anything but level

Is this goodbye to Abi? There’s always a silver lining.

Let's be honest though this is pretty pish poor Speedway, yes I know it's good to give the kids a chance and they're all giving it their best efforts etc. I've been trawling through last night's Poole topic while watching this and quite frankly the Speedway tonight is no better than last night and everybody on that topic has gone into meltdown! What's on offer tonight really should be 2nd half stuff (at all senior meetings)

BSN deserves some credence. Obviously it is all about income for the clubs but perhaps a reality check is needed without the easy money from a national broadcaster who apart from Sky have done no favours for speedway. Yes ITV or Chanel 4 or 5 would be a good choice but I doubt if that will happen. Maybe Tai’s story could sell it but not a lot else makes it an attractive for TV. Streaming seems to be the option to attract a younger audience who do not watch terrestrial TV

Perhaps a neutral venue for the league final playoff over one meeting with a pre determined number of heats should be a consideration. It would certainly help ameliorate the situation when one of the teams has a much larger home advantage. A Superheat is not a good way to decide a league title in my opinion.

To be fair to any of the TV companies, it isnt their responsibility to improve the sport... They provide the platform through their coverage to give the sports they cover the publicity and opportunity to use this platform to increase their profile and, hopefully, their followers and attendees... The UK promoters have had regular two hour adverts to showcase their sport yet seem quite content on showcasing it as something very few people attend, with swathes of empty seating and terracing being the overriding optics of most domestic meetings.. TNT (and Eurosport), were particularly poor though with their production standards, with graphics often wrong, however, trying to explain a "guest rising star" taking a "rider replacement ride" to a production assistant to get the graphics right, must have some difficulties...

PASS Whoops shouldn't have said that word to a Poole fan. 😁

Harry Redknapp will probably use his profile to try and get SkySports back on board imo.
-
Can’t say I’m really sad about TNT, imo they have done nothing to better the sport

'Bothered' isn't the first word that springs to mind!

I find it very much depends on the type of track as to how entertaining these type of junior meetings are. The big easy tracks like Worky, BV & Scunny tend to throw up some good action... I've seen some dross at Leicester where it takes a bit more technical ability to get round and understandably these kids just don't yet have that ability, Ippo is a similar style track to Ippo... having said that Foord & Trigger just had a decent race, they do have a bit of experience though.
