Appealing to a completely different demographic... A bona fide team sport, with jeopardy and consequence on every race for the riders, never mind for the meeting as a whole... No "jobs for life" from your mate who runs the sport as a hobby... No "can I borrow Bomber for a night"... Chalk and Cheese...

Tbh racing wise this is no more exciting than what I witnessed at Poole Wednesday night.

Its like some alternative universe in Poland, where speedway is absolutely massive. But at its core, its the same product we have, four riders, four laps..........

That's probably as many as will attend a UK Speedway meeting in total, if every team ran one meeting in the same week..

Most poles and me too have canal anyway so watching on that

I am pretty sure in Wroclaw, 78 year old Gladys has just said... "Sit down, I can't see, and it's too noisy"...

I thought it was a solid performance. Hellstrom Bangs impressed & once he gets dialled in will steadily improve. Scottie will also get better at home so happy with the team overall. Being in the pits afterwards the new owners seemed pretty pleased & encouraged with the crowd level. The track wasn’t great but with the possibility of rain & that rather gusty wind drying out what moisture was in the surface can’t complain really. All in all a positive opening the only negative for me was the announcer…..I wonder what Rob Chandler is up to??

We'd best enjoy this tonight because the cost and future scarcity of fuel could prove to have a devastating impact on 'national' speedway which requires riders, team owners/managers, and spectators to drive the length and breadth of the UK. Apart from the increased cost, it could soon become very risky setting off on a long round trip without any certainty of refuelling as required to get home.

Quite a spectacular crash of Amber Kramer, the only female rider in this meeting. She was really fast, but came off, and her bike unfortunately collected an other rider, SImon Meier, who seems to be injured. Amber Kramer is back on her feet again.
