  4. Well isn’t this what they did last year with the Kennedy brothers……. And then didn’t bring them back again? Surely they could swap MPT for Antti Vuolas straight away to strengthen up?
  5. He was talking about Ipswich and Northampton, neither of which were confirmed at the time.

  7. I think Glasgow might decide they got rid of the wrong 8 pointer.
  8. ill take it on the chin, no problem with that, win some you lose some so to speak
  9. Today
  10. The same man on 360 many weeks ago referred to two big things that were going to happen involving Speedway Futures. One he said he was 99% certain of and we should hear something in about 2 weeks and the other he was 90% certain of happening. As usual there was not a drop of information and I'm still waiting as probably are many others for the announcement of one big thing never mind two.
  11. Correct. The 'Tree' ought to consider - Attack the post... not the poster. I won't get my Speedy Star til sometime next week when Postie Pat does the honours, then i can see the full article. I hope Phil wasn't called a 'keyboard warrior' !!! From my working life i learnt - nothing travels faster than a rumour! PTA has a good track record. Keep posting.
  12. Bewley 8.64 Etheridge 3.00 Kildemand 5.28 Lidsey 7.87 Douglas 8.12 Zishcke 3.00 Edwards RS
  13. The problems for Oxford, unless I'm misunderstanding things, seems to be the removal of the greyhounds from the stadium, which has happened at Mildenhall as well. Therefore, Oxford stadium has lost an income stream, which maybe, the speedway side of the total business, is unable to make good. Mildenhall has a strong bangers and stock car part of the total business, so is likely and hopefully, unaffected. I presume the stadium owners are still the venture capital company, who were the problem with running speedway at the stadium a number of years ago. Let's hope this doesn't give them the excuse they are looking for, if I'm right in my thinking. 😳
  14. Why not? If you’re going to put it out there, face the consequences and own it when it turns out to be bullsh!t.
  15. Even if it isn't true, was it really necessary to "name and shame" the poster?
  16. Back in the day, I remember you often had top riders missing in the premier league for stuff at weekends but legit things like world longtrack series, world under 21 qualis etc. I remember Newport missing Glenn Cunningham on a few Sundays for world long track events and Wato, you don't mind if its a couple of times for a legit reason. As years have progressed the absences have become more ridiculous, missing a meeting for your club as your Polish club wants you at a photo shoot and press and practice and what have you. Its pathetic. It really is gutting to see what a laughing stock the sport is nowadays. I'm not sure if such a slump has happened before in the 60s, 70s or 80s but the state of the sport now compared to the years I followed (90s and 00s) is something that I can't see a way back from. Promoters are mostly to blame, when things started slipping in the winter instead of nipping those issues in the bud there and then, they buried the heads in the sand and this is the result of it.
  17. It was a daft decision to bring Pickering in from the clown at Scunny. Pickering is class and a brilliant rider but to waste such a chunk of team building on him as well as presumably the amount he is being paid? Bonkers decision. The rest of the team is rubbish and Harrison is expected to ride as third heatleader when he should be second string paired with a heatleader to develop more.
  18. Peter Oakes in Today’s Speedway Star. Oh dear @PhilTheAce
  19. Yesterday
  20. Yet he'd still sign a rubbishe Dane over said British riders
  21. Ain’t gonna happen if you go by Godfrey’s interview on the 360 podcast before the season. He mentioned it was bizarre that clubs are bringing in foreign riders in when some British riders don’t have a contract signed. Don’t think Rob Godfrey would pay for a box to be able to think outside of it to be honest!
  22. 1. Bewley 8.64 2. Batchelor 4.73 3. Kvech 6.91 4. Morris 5.84 5. Masters 7.28 6. Zischke 3.00 7. Edwards RS
  23. Would MPT and SL be eligible for the NDL next year?
  24. It's been crap for years (bit like the teams Godfrey and co build year on year) 🤣 Not to fear though 2027 will be Palm Toft and Lambert's year
