SGB Championship 2026 Confirmed Signings

It'll be buttons from me as I have ad blockers enabled and never see them 👍🏻 -
There is such a lack of riders in the UK that I would be surprised if he doesn't get an opportunity, if he wants to ride. Not saying it's right or wrong, but the malaise we find our sport in means that there's not enough riders to go around. Teams may not *want* to sign him, but they may feel they *have* to sign him in order, for whatever reasons.

Do we need some new faces ?

Seem to recall Phillip Hellstrom Bangs mentioning in an article he would consider the UK as he was struggling to get enough rides. Not sure what he is up to this season , could be an option potentially depending on his average. Slater Lightcap the USA rider but would think the Polish teams will be looking to sign these riders moving forward. -
He will be very very fortunate if anybody gives him an opportunity in speedway again. He may be better served selling those art prints on ebay ot etsy.

No, seems like all rising stars will be announced at the same time, presumably after the AGM
-
I'm not really fussed to be honest but this rhetoric about it being a choice between speedway or crime is just complete rubbish. This chap will be extremely fortunate to be given another opportunity to earn a living doing something which he presumably he loved, just not as much as his other apparent addiction. But to say this is his only chance to stay 'clean' is tantamount to holding a gun to the collective speedway communities head. a. there are plenty of other occupations this chap could pursue. sure those will be limited by his qualifications and his criminal record by there are plenty of ex-convicts who obtain gainful employment. it might not be preferential but the vast majority of us, criminal or not, don't get the opportunity to do our dream job. b. what happens when he is no longer physically able to be a speedway rider? straight back to a life of crime? Like I say I have no opinion on whether or not this chap should be given an opportunity but lets not attempt to justify this as being anything other than extremely fortunate if the opportunity does arise.

He’s not the only rider to have known *sniff substance issues

SGB Championship 2026 Confirmed Signings
crescent girl replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It is run for the advertising revenue, pure and simple -- and that isn't buttons. Same, as it happens for the updates site. Great and useful to speedway fans, but not provided as public services. Just for revenue. -
Should be easier to navigate to the actual races though, frustrating!
-
Has Jody been announced officially in the team? I haven't seen that anywhere?
-
With Douglas being, according to some, a nailed-on certainty to be Lions' no.1, they're dragging their feet somewhat in making the announcement! KL, Sheffield, and Belle Vue (probably) have all named their no.1's, so what's holding up Leicester from doing likewise?

Any news on the ticket release date?

We’d better get some decent rider development going then. Tracks first though -

Agree, but how much longer can they afford to wait? It’s already gone on too long but I don’t think any of us would be shocked if they postponed the AGM yet again. -

Gotta admit all this cryptic nonsense does my head in as well. If you’ve got something to say, spit it out. Otherwise, don’t bother saying anything at all! -

A league once placed a ban on Swedish riders who lived in Sweden. Bullies throwing their weight around.
