Dynamic pricing usually comes down when demand is much, much lower than supply... It seems the Aces' leadership had a different idea...

I wasn't criticising him, no one uses that outside line better than Adam, but the track conditions made that very difficult unfortunately... -
That's a basic page 1 lesson on price and demand elasticity!

tbf the Ippo merch is pretty uninspiring... I've never got on with their black and day glo yellow colours

Not entirely true. The lesser formulas that don't attract much of a crowd pay to race, but the bigger formulas don't. They also receive prize money for placings, some formulas get 'start money', and also the F1s get free admissions for 3 mechanics.

Piotr Pawlicki and Oskar Polis? 😁

Depends on the meeting format. Usually 10-15 races at 5-6 minutes each, so 60-90 minutes in total. So yes, probably 25-40p per minute.

Not bitter at all... I rate Adam highly so Ipswich should use him wisely over the next two meetings... Very lucky to have someone who can still beat No1's at reserve... As I say, a "cheat code" if used correctly when replacing others... -

Very bitter. Thompson ha# been excellent at reserve all season. One ride/point (0.04) separating Ellis and Thompson in the September green sheets, and it upset the balance of the Ipswich team. Having riders who can adapt to conditions is important. Throttle-jockeys can't win everything 😉 -
Thinking about this, surely Foord was withholding services which would mean Kent could have a guest.

What about Northampton?

Northampton and wider Northamptonshire like Kettering,Corby,Wellingborough have huge Eastern European populations so the hope may be to have a couple of Polish riders in the home team will encourage them to travel -

Or maybe the 'Play Off' System has had it's day. Perhaps people are realising that when you win the League, and your reward is sod all - it's not worth the candle. Back in the 60's, 70's etc. The League Champions won the League, and didn't have to win it twice. While I am on, why not get rid of the Grand Prix Series too. How exactly does that benefit British Speedway As far as I can see, it is a hindrance, For example, last night both Dan Bewley and Brady Kurtz had a potential World Championship to win or to get a medal. Why would they put themselves at risk of serious injury just TWO days before an Event like this, I for one, do not blame them at all, especially on a Track in the dreadful state that Foxhall was in last night? Go back to the World Final - one Meeting. It was good enough for Mauger, Peter Collins Olsen, Petersen etc. It would reduce the costs for riders. It would also bring back the thrill of everything depending on one race. -
Northampton best chance would be to run Sunday afternoons in the national league, allowing people to travel.

A "cheat code" at reserve for the play offs... I still rank him in the top five GB riders when fully fit... -

I agree, however... Getting them to ride over here will bring the thousands of fans back that have deserted the tracks over the past decade or so.... -

Counter argument London has nigh on 9 million population and not a single track. -

And a credit to you. He spoke very well when interviewed. -
All fair point but the 5,500 at Belle Vue is another sign of how far we have fallen granted at a push you could maybe get 20-25k at a British GP if such a venue existed it just doesn't seem that long ago when crowds of high 40's were at Bradford and Cardiff early days.

As I said I would I took notice of the amount of team clothing worn by fans last night, we parked the car right near turnstiles and the que ‘s were fairly big, I would say probably 3% had Ipswich branding and about 2% of that was clothing from the 1990s-2000s, quite a few of the old Wulfsport jackets, not many modern team shirts on show, it was cold and people had jackets on so that could of factored in to it, also I know it’s the case in most British speedway but Ipswich crowd seems to be 50+ age bracket and I don’t think I’ve seen so many dogs at a speedway meeting (except in the bar at hull years back)😉

They will say that they never change their team mid season in their holier than though way, Belle Vue always do it the right way even if it costs them any chance of success. -
Can't really compare to stock cars because those drivers actually pay to enter meetings, which changes the balance of income/expenditure for the promoters.

Emil has never been a good gater so he was never going to go well in those conditions, Bewley likewise hence why I'm backing Dan up. Kurtz is a known gater who just couldn't be asked to try, That's the difference between the three.
