Rye House Speedway Needs You Put the date in your diaries – 11 August 2026. The long awaited Appeal to determine Rye House Stadium’s future will be heard at the East Hertfordshire District Council Chamber, East Hertfordshire District Council Offices, Wallfields, Pegs Lane, Hertford, SG13 8EQ on 11 August 2026. This is a public hearing and presents supporters with an opportunity to show the level of interest in saving Rye House Stadium as a Speedway venue. A strong turnout matters. It demonstrates that Rye House Speedway is not forgotten, not abandoned and not without supporters prepared to stand up for it. If you support Rye House Speedway keep this date free. If you’ve booked a holiday – cancel (or postpone) it. If you’re thinking of booking one, avoid Tuesday 11 August 2026. The decision to hold a public hearing instead of dealing with the appeal on paper reflects the scale of public interest. Now that interest must be seen. More details will follow — but for now, save the date and be there.

But sadly only two of the clubs listed now remain!
-
Sufficiently enough to have caused the meeting to be abandoned had it gone ahead?
-
Well if fit Gilkes would make the Ideal guest, if anybody wants to prove what they are actually capable of it's him. If I were him I'd be aching for the chance to show the Fords what a mistake they made.
-
I wouldn't want to pay twenty five quid for a rushed through meeting which doesnt even last an hour, and probably only goes to heat 10. Bottom line is that on this particular occasion Lynn have got it right.
-
They would have rode the remaining few heats in the rain, what's wrong with that as long as it is safe to do so, it's been done many times over the years.
-
Seems to improved here recently usually Thursday these days.
-
Could of been hurried through because of rain threat.

When is a meeting ever over by 8.30 if it starts at 7.45? 🙈 -
As long as they don't have a missing reserve r/r should work well for June.
-
Cairns is on a rolling average already, had one last year, got a new average in May & June. July average is very likely to put him into the top 5.
-
It has but I think it could still have been on.

Lewis Bridger also maybe looking at Flat Track... but who cares 😉 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZDYmhSiIws/?igsh=MTQycnd3NGlpa2lwbg==

Been raining here since 8.30.
-
Hopefully a lesson learnt for the new promotion. We all like to be kept in the loop with whats happening with our teams, but this should've all been sorted behind the scenes rather than out in the open.
