  1. Past hour
  2. Fantastic amount of money raised over the years that figure by the supporters club.
  3. Muck Fe! I've seen the BSPA/L blamed for everything now, why didn't I think it was their responsibility? Probably not woke enough.
  4. Interesting! Could that have happened when they built the kings lynn bypass in the first half of the seventies....?
  5. As British Speedway used to be his employer, what if anything did the employer do to help him with his mental health and addiction. As a employer has the sport washed their hands of him and was he ever banned ?
  6. Today
  7. Made me wonder as to what Michael Lee’s average was when he came into the team. Any ideas?
  8. I didnt think Zach Cook was faking anything?!
  9. To my mind Shawn was allowed one shot at redemption and ****** it up - Garrity has to have that chance!
  10. It isn't per se but at the same time if you have a 'trade' and this is one of thw ways you can earn a living then if someone is wanting to take a chance on him then he should be allowed to! Having locked him up and he served his time he needs to do something with the rest of his life, given he would have to declare his conviction etc many companies wouldn't take a chnace on him (entirely their choice by the way) - if he was prepared to retrain then companies such as Timpsons might well give him a go! Frankly as a tax payer I want him out there paying something back into the system rather than us footing he bill for him for the next 40 years!
  11. Agreed you either believe in the concept of a shot at redemption or you don't. What Garrity should do is agree to be regulary voluntarily tested if he resumes his career to ensure he remains clean - even out of season. Then if someone takes a punt on him then good for them and he has his chance. If he blows it then no more chances after that. Having seen him ride he certaonly had talent. It does remind me that in a conversation with Sheffield fans eons ago at Olwerton (well 2016) he was described as a 'bad lad' and Speedway was his only hope - so he would be wise if he gets a 2nd chnace to take it and not mess it up!
  12. Tate had a bad day with bike issues but had otherwise been very good in Aus. Worry about your own Aussie who was doing awful and resorted to faking an injury to save himself embarrassment
  13. My understanding is that the links are via the supporters club (who should be commended for tireless efforts over many years) I asked similar questions when it looked like Buster was taking over Ultimately the funds are there to assist with club costs so whoever is in control can request For example the need to replace the air fence this season would vert likely be the type of expenditure that would be contributed to
  14. He’s still a dick no matter what he wins. Him and Dan or Brady , chalk and cheese.
  15. See the majority of posts on this thread since around early November!
  16. And in what way is that Speedway's problem??
  17. I get what you're saying, all I meant was that if a person knows their not guilty within themselves then I for one wouldn't pay anyone anything as that just makes it look dodgy. I guess the money went to their defense team etc.
  18. Bit like the 2026 Premiership then - I'll get me coat! Regardless good to him back and confirmed as round Owlerton he is certainly great to watch - at least I will get to see Speedway in Sheffield in 2026 just need Ipswich to confirm now!
  19. Jack has won the first round of the Australian championship - but probably to be expected given all the main competition has pulled out/not competing
  20. Let’s not be told to shut up about what
  21. well well at least it's not the usual poole issue of phone pics ahem nor is it phone pics again for Mr Lawson ahem ahem - this time (those that know know! especially around worky way!)
  22. Im sort of sat on the fence on this one, Jason is a massive talent on a speedway bike and if a club signs him they will get a real racer but I also understand people saying they can’t forgive him and don’t want him anywhere need speedway, Jason’s crime are clearly motivated by money or the lack of it and fueled by drugs and realistically speedway is his only chance of sorting his life out but speedway doesn’t owe anybody anything least of all Jason but if he doesn’t get a chance then imo he will be back inside before long and we could be the next victim, I’ve said it before I got on well with Jason and always found him very personable but I also saw the other side of him,as I said I’m on the fence on this one, if he gets a chance then I’m happy to pay to watch him race but if speedway says no because of the fans reaction then imo he will also happy because keeping the fans happy is what the sport is about
  23. Are you drowning your sorrows today after Tate's performance in Australia?
  24. Imo his best hope of making life for himself is at this stage to return to the sport , short term prisoners ( as he would be for the length of his sentence ) get "ZERO" help in any shape or form with regards to reabilitation . In the past I have had dealings with former offenders ( through being a former residential landlord ) as Mikebv says some make a fresh start others fall back into their old ways .
  25. Leaders after round 1 Jack Holder 18 Lidsey 18 Tungate 14 Ben Cook 11 Zach Cook 10 Hook 9 Rew 9
