Glasgow Tigers 2027

The good thing is, that anyone in the team has access to practice at home as often as they need, especially for new riders, last season our riders were offered the same, I believe that Mario declined the use of practice but the others did use it. -
A unique sport (in the UK), where everyone basically becomes "free agents" every year... Meaning of course they then can freely seek out better terms elsewhere, or, to keep them, you have to at least match those better terms, which then adds to your budgeted costs, which may be unaffordable... People talk about development of riders, but as they often have two teams on the go from an early age, (more if they are clearly going to be any good), then no one team can really say that they were responsible for any riders development... And, of course, some will mention loyalty, however, in UK Speedway you could ride for every other team in your league over a season, therefore loyalty to any particular club would be a difficult concept to be seen as integral in UK Speedway... Especially as you can lose your place in any team for doing "too well" if your new average allows your team to replace you with someone they see as being better at that figure .. If Dan leaves the Aces, (he already has as the season has ended), then good luck to him... The only loyalty I would suggest he has in Speedway is to the Polish teams that have paid the considerable amount for his rehab when he has suffered serious injury... Even when the injuries happened elsewhere... It would be good for the UK to have him riding over here given he can be so exciting to watch...

A brilliant resource but could you possibly change the font in the right-hand menu to something easier to read? -
they chased the money, we couldnt compete, like i always say, we are probably the lowest payers in league but let ipswich fans tell you otherwise anyway. good luck to them, end of the day you will always go to the highest bidder. it will just make the defeat of ipswich at NSS so much sweeter

It's the same response as Poole got for taking Rushen and Cairns and all the others who they've played no part in helping develop as soon as they become good enough. He came from the colts into the Aces, its a shame for the Aces that he is probably leaving when he should be their RS next season
-
Does the Star article say he's returning to Plymouth or just the UK?
-
It wouldn't be the same if he didn't have a pop at Poole, like you said, consintrate on Workington 2027 riders or lack of it
-
Hasn't there got to be 2 under 21s? Meaning 1 could still be a Wroclaw under 21
-
Just a small revision š.

So we are running then, i havenāt even heard that for definite unless Iāve buried my head in the sand.
-
You would have hoped the tie up would see Ipswich open the door to Polish riders who would therefore improve the quality of our top division. To see them take two ex Colts is disappointing and more a vindication of our development program (others take note). Once again itās over promise and under deliver from another in a long line of here today gone tomorrow promoters skilled in talking the talk but lacking in positive actions. Self interested glory hunters, like we need more of them.

Surprised @lewyhasn't been along to announce this š

Riders are now employed on a self employed basis, so no one can say where they ride at the following year, you put out an offer or ask how much they want, then hope they ride for you, it's a bit like you getting a new kitchen/bathroom you get quotes / offers then decide who you go with if available . I'm not on cairns back it's a forum and that's my opinion, I did say he rode well at worky

IF weāve signed Cairns we havenāt āpoachedā him from anyone. Heās currently out of contract (unless heās signed one for 2027).
-
Typical anti Poole bile from Nellie. Lawson had 23 bonus points, Cairns 13. If you take a worst case and reverse these, so give Cairns the 23, he still has an average in excess of 6. Get off Cairns back and give him credit for his own achievements. And maybe turn some of your bile towards your own 2026 riders, several of whom seem keen to get away

Makes sense for Belle Vue to keep Norick and Tate then get some new talent at the bottom of the team. I mean where else are opposing teams supposed to get their heatleaders and number ones from in seasons to come. #wemakeemtheytakeem1928
