  1. Past hour
  2. I'd be looking at someone with British League experience who can improve as a Rider. Rider like Mitch McDiarmid for example.
  3. Leicester have set an example and every Club needs to follow. Social Media is a big part of today's world and Clubs have to get with the times to work the Social Media game.
  4. He did win the club award for the most bonus points in the season, so maybe there was a plan as well as a couple of iffy meetings?
  5. To be fair, Tolley's not perfect by any means but at least he's passionate about British Speedway. The same can't be said for certain CHAMP Promoters and Owners.
  6. 2027 is the ONE other team rule that is coming in...
  7. that rule is for 2027, not 2026 so Doyle is getting confused, also things are now confirmed, so he must mean its ipswich or no one else
  8. In this weeks Speedway Star, Doyle confirms the Polish rules re "two other leagues only"... As he is at Vastervik and Esbjerg, that would suggest no UK for him... He also goes on to say that there are "other riders" who will follow suit if nothing is confirmed sooner, rather than later...
  9. Today
  10. His "team", think it was his mechanic, let us know how serious his illness was but many seem to have forgotten or ignore the fact. He came back, still not fully recovered, from his illness, and many negative comments have been made about his lower scores. I believe now that he is recovered Berwick has made an excellent signing and that we, the Monarchs, may regret not including him. It is always difficult to come within the 40 point limit or perhaps travelling costs were a factor. Who knows but most Monarchs fans wish him well.
  11. The lads looked after himself and you can't blame him - huge talen and i have enjoyed watching his progress at Foxhall
  12. What has this topic got to do with Newcastle?
  13. Yip ,that was said at the time last season.
  14. Still way behind Nielsen in my view.
  15. Reading in todays Speedway Star Palovaara had been suffering from pneumonia latter part of the season.
  16. Maybe he has learnt from it, hope so for his own sake because he wont last long at Poole if not.
  17. Assuming the six named are true/accurate then personally I'd rather use two local youngsters with links to the club than Gusts who has a three point average for a reason and was unavailable an awful lot last year. To me the idea of using Cooper and Jody straight from the Young Stars is even more exciting than the arrival of Fricke (again if accurate). Also I'd suggest somebody with a bit more experience at 2 would be better than a new foreign rider assuming the six named have been signed.
  18. I’m not sure what would be worse. Tolley and Rogers or no speedway. plenty of vultures flying over foxhall looking for riders atm
  19. Don't get @lewy too excited, it's not good for him at his age 😁
  20. You haven't seen your young Aussie with a big attitude problem yet šŸ™ƒ
  21. on a sub 8 average think Cook is a good signing.
  22. It is a very long time since Batch rode for Poole and of course I realise ex gp riders are on the way down but he must have had some really poor meetings to get to his current average and he does seem to give up when not gating, despite that I do think he is worth including on his current average. I have every sympathy with anyone who has mental issues but if he came back without that baggage he would be a top rider in this league but is he worth the risk.
  23. I think Leicester should be congratulated for their use of social media in the last few weeks. They were the first, if not only club to update their supporters on what their plans were, then they announce the departure of their best rider (with Max confirming this 15 minutes later) but within 12 hours announce the signing of Thompson. Anyone would think they actually have put some thought into how they use social media & have a strategy. If this is the case can other clubs please take note....
  24. Finally announced what was agreed and has been an open secret sincere about August then I think the vast majority of Ipswich fans will be hugely disappointed to see him go but delighted if Dan can keep progressing I feel having the comfortable surroundings of what he obviously sees as home will help him make the next steps on the international stage A decent talent with a determined attitude and a solid professional approach so should continue to do well
