There is nothing to stop the opposing team using their second highest averaged rider at number 2 to counteract this, so nothing wrong with it imo
-
What old ruling? You have always been able to have a guest at 6. It is only r/r which is for top 5.

Just about every team manager uses R/R at 2 these days, don’t understand the consternation around this as in 3 of the heats the replacement is with theoretically the teams strongest rider and then in heat 8 you get to use said rider. It worked nearly perfectly for Oxford last night too as they got 2 x 5-1’s, 1 x 4-2 and would have had another if it wasn’t for Masters running out of fuel. Peter Schroek makes some strange and terrible decisions but putting R/R at two was absolutely the right thing to do and seems to be the consensus thing to do these days. I found it more odd he didn’t use Knudsen in Heat 12 and put Killeen in heat 15. -

Great to also see how many youngsters in attendance. The kids race was packed. the mascot entertaining the crowd and more importantly the riders interacting with the crowd. None of the above costs much but can certainly make the experience of race night so much better between races. well done Plymouth - Today

We have to have a guest now Cook has gone to reserve, R/R is now not an option 👍🏻 so tomorrow night against Leicester we have a choice between Tungate (no chance), Kildemand, Palovaara or someone from the championship… as I’ve been told Lewi isn’t allowed to guest tomorrow -

Good to see you Neila especially as we took the bonus point lol. It was a good meeting takes 2 teams to make a good match good luck for the rest of the season -
I agree, think Cairns (this season) & Rushen (next season) would be wise not to jump into an RS spot too soon.

Was some good races but from a comets point of view too many last/non scoring) races, 11 of them. can't get an away win or bonus point with this many no scores, and only 4 heat wins, tough watch on the terraces from the 15-20 comets fans who made the 800 mile round trip -

Just caught up with this and what a great advert for grass roots British Speedway! 13 committed lads, great racing, a close scoreline for the aggregate bonus point, incident and controversy. The Plymouth track has taken some stick in the past but it was spot on tonight. Absolutely put the tripe served up in Latvia in the GP to shame in comparison. The commentator mentioned it, the word of the night was commitment and without wishing to labour the point, tonight's match showed that Plymouth and British Speedway does not need the likes of Nicolai Klindt. It's just a shame that the rules and the spineless SCB are letting this situation continue with Klindt treating Plymouth like a piece of dirt and a last resort pay day. -

They are doing alot of things right at Plymouth and it is being rewarded with better attendances so well done the Gladiators. After saying this I thought 150 minutes for 15 heats was too long tonight. The interval in particular was too long even with the kids race and the re-runs of heat 14. I tried the curry and rice tonight and it was very nice. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.👍 -
The Fox Cubs look a lot stronger now. Freddy Hodder & Jordy Loftus signed in place of Sonny Springer & Caydin Martin. Won't catch King's Lynn at the top of the table, but should help them get away from bottom spot. No changes yet for the Lion Cubs, although Springer has a lower average so won't have the same options. Calum Mitchell of King's Lynn looks the best option. There's not a lot of NDT riders without a NDL team spot.

Yeah have to agree with this, when we needed him to stand up tonight (which he eventually did last night) he went missing in action. It will be hard for him to progress further in speedway without showing more steel and adaptability on tracks of different shape and surface quality. -

Oxford didn't have an obvious "number 2" after Masters the others could really have filled any position from 2-5. Pre match I would've favoured them to have the beating of Hagon in heat 8, whoever went in position 2. Masters is the only one I wouldn't have put in that heat. If they worry was a weaker Oxford rider wouldn't win in heat 8, put McDiarmid at 2 maybe? -
Kurtz WC this year, He'll win the Wroclaw round as well imo.

Sounds like you have an itch to prove people wrong, I know what that is a trait of and it all matches up now, which is why people probably just ignore you. The reason I said what I did is because you can’t go on a single thread on this whole forum without you chirping up and doing the exact thing I mentioned. Or quite often it’s telling everyone what team changes the team manager should have made during a meeting. The mute button is good advice Captain Hindsight. -
You can only do that if your Number one is the next rider above the missing one in the averages, plus there’s nothing better than a lesser rider beating a big rider in a heat

The scoreline flattered the Scorpions tonight. No sting at all. Good effort from Simon Lambert running the bike round for a point mid meeting when both Scunthorpe riders packed up though. -

Both, if I bore you that much, just mute me. If I replied to the post saying "I don't agree with you" without giving any context / reasoning, what would be the point of that? So I pointed out his away average has actually gone up. Then @Woke23 sent a sensible reply with his reasons for his comments. Both of us gave an opinion, it would be boring if everyone agreed all the time, there was no insults or name calling, I'd say that's what the forum is for. Obviously I like stats, if others don't that's fine too. But I don't see why I should stop using them. -

Looking at the make up of the two teams, a big home win, shouldn't be a surprise. But Scunny should have had the beating of the Glasgow reserves. Well done to Hodder especially, but for Scunny, won't be easy to avoid the wooden spoon. -
