  2. Clarke Osborne is a parasite. Although Torquay Utd fans would probably call him far worse,
  3. Considering the numbers in the Premiership this is all that could be done. Rightly so the Championship promoters didn't want the additional cost. HOWEVER they need to have plans in place for 2027 before the play-offs. As next season will bring a whole wave of new problems that cant be ignored and needs to be addressed head on. If they don't have a suitable plan in motion moving forward if the new Poland restrictions take place there won't be to many riders waiting for a contract. So yet another "speedway elastoplast" wont be a remedy from here on in.
  4. Agree. Its a shambles. The amount of fixtures is ridiculous. The Premiership even riding home and away twice is still shocking. One big league was needed to sort this mess out. Limit teams to 5 or 6 riders and change format if not enough riders to go around. The gap in fixtures is not good enough. Its farcical. It seems that the majority of fans can see whats wrong with the sport but those numbskulls in charge can't. Pathetic.
  5. Seems positive from the club on pending signings saying at no point they have struggled to attract riders and that the final pieces arent far away so i think rather then negativity the clubs activity should be looked at with optimism as to giving fans the best side to allow the team be best served for a title challenge. I for one am excited for the pending news.
  6. The problem with long term planning is the continuing closure of tracks. It is getting to the stage where the shrinking number of tracks could lead to team speedway being unsustainable. Whilst we all like watching the GPs, almost everyone on this forum will have initially been drawn to the sport by watching the 7 v 7 team format. Supporting your team is a tribal thing, like football. Can’t speak for others, but this is why I love speedway and have zero interest in any other motor sport.

  9. Poland have already announced their plans for 2027 regarding rider availability and we've done absolutely nothing to mitigate this by starting our league transformation a year before them, it's not even been addressed... we seem to be just blindly sailing on, full steam ahead 🚢🧊
  10. They have a two year plan now... Year 1 - Do exactly the same as we always do... Year 2 - Do exactly the same as Year One..
  11. A 3 month plan and let’s get the season started first🤔👍
  12. I'm not blind to the fact that Cardiff was well past its best, but it was allowed to become what it was... but it was still the biggest Speedway meeting in the world for many many years and brought publicity and awareness to our sport. I'm not going to go through all of the Manchester vs Cardiff arguments again but there's no escaping the fact that we've gone from the 2nd highest attended Speedway meeting of the year to bottom of the SGP attendances.
  13. All 55 years of age, returning on minus five point averages....
  14. Well, about £480k (don't forget the Vatman has 16.67% of the income for the government).
  15. Maybe 10 year plan will give them a chance to change something. All the young Brits will maybe GP riders by then. With their forward thinking Premiership League.
  16. Absolutely. At the very least they should have announced the intention to set up a commission to look at the full range of options for 2027.
  17. Was there really any major positive impact on those measures? After the initial novelty wore off, and BSI no longer marketed the GP as vigorously, it became just another speedway meeting for many... Hence crowds eroded away after around ten years or so of reasonable growth.. It certainly did nothing for UK domestic speedway as the current malaise shows... If the NSS gets around 6k a night this year, that will still be a fair percentage of the total punters who regularly attend UK Speedway at the fourteen tracks left...
  18. Quite easily, it's this year to year existence that has got us to where we are. They should be issuing a statement now addressing the current issues and putting the building blocks in place for 2027 and beyond, start by scaling back doubling up and introducing a proper youth system... that's just for starters.
  19. How can there be a reference to 2027 when they still can’t confirm what’s happening in 2026?!
  20. Dan Thompson joined the team on Tapes 2 Flag podcast and spoke about re joining the Lions for the 2026 season, and more
  21. Dan Thompson joined the team at Tapes 2 Flag podcast and discussed his thought's on joining the Monarchs amongst other things
  22. Which one of the 1st 2 are you @lewy 😁
  23. The "Gold Top" is more powerful than the "Semi-Skimmed" version! Sorry, I'll get my coat.
