Birmingham v King's Lynn 11.08.25

Clearly a not fully fit Barker showed great determination. The gust of the evening astounded everyone including me...... Lewis Kerr once again showed his inconsistency perfectly tonight. Given another opportunity he'll probably score 0 at Saddlebow Road 🙂 Sadly another British rider who seems to have suffered severe injury and never quite fulfilled his potential. Another who I regularly saw as a very young lad at Lakeside juniors was Sammy Hagon. Showed great promise in junior race always bringing up the rear against the likes of Jason Edwards, but despite an awful lot of track time never settled at Poole and finds himself struggling in the upper tier at reserve. -
Last year when riders raced in Poland while being injured in Britain, the wording was after 28 days they have to return or be replaced, clubs wouldn't get a second 28 day facility. Assuming that's the case this season, if Becker didn't return, Leicester would only be able to use a 75% guest, as they can't replace him.

I think it will be a walk in the park. Kurtz won't gate, Zach can be good at Foxhall but is out of form. 54-36.

Glasgow v Edinburgh KO cup second leg

I think the rule was brought in to stop riders feeling "ill" every time they were due at Exeter, then making a quick recovery for their next match. A 7 day suspension stops this happening. But it also means riders who are genuinely ill, having to miss more meetings than necessary, which means more guests (when they should be trying to limit them). Could also mean a rider races when not well to avoid a suspension, potentially causing an accident if he's not strong enough to control the bike. I would get rid of the rule, maybe of it happens multiple times in a season, can look into it, but anyone can be sick one day & off work, but back the next. Why can't Speedway riders? Better make a comment on the match. Glasgow to win on aggregate. -

That’s more than you can say about the £3:50 for a meeting program that was useless - Today

He is some talent.Definitely the match winner Glasgow need. -
Simple. Nobody with any sound business acumen is going to invest money into building a new or reopening and old Speedway venue just to please a few hundred punters who can't let the past go. Speedway needs to focus on what it has left now. The likes of Coventry, Swindon and Wolverhampton can argue all they like, but they are living in a fantasy world. They will NEVER reopen. Speedway. Is. Not. Viable.

That is the first meeting I have seen him ride well for a while, maybe getting over his injuries now. -
Absolutely agree Spoken to Dan a few times at Ipswich always got time to have pics after the meeting with my kids and speaks well He has said to me he likes Ipswich and he said the home riders are dialled on and he likes the challenge of where to put the bike to get the best out of it ….. Yes he flies around his home track but a truely top rider wants to learn all tracks and skills and he certainly does that including winning at Cardiff twice Chatted to Kurtz too last time and he came across a decent guy to be fair would be good to see him win the world championship

Don’t really see the point of a ban in genuine case. The Teams can get guest so that negates the point. -

Well Oxford will feel at home at the wimbored road dust bowl, expect dust lots of it from heat 1 😛 -
Last night was point and case of that! Nobody wanted to attack the air fence from Belle Vue, Holder alluded to the fact he doesn’t like heat 13 when he had stiff competition and has to ride as wide as possible. Can I just add I personally think Bewley is the most likeable Brit we have, he is very down to earth and just feels like a guy who wants to get on his bike and push the limits, I think he has more about him than Kurtz who does give up more than Bewley or opts to not get involved, people give him a pass because of fighting for the world title but for me, Bewley gives more to Belle Vue and British Speedway. When Doyle hangs up his Kevlars I’d love to see Bewley down here (I know it won’t happen).
