  2. Trouble seems to be that the East of England Agricultural Society whom I believe own some or all of the land do not seem to want speedway as part of the leisure plans they have for the Showground .
  3. no mention of a speedway fair on the British motor museum website
  4. As I've said elsewhere, why don't one of the Prem clubs run a second team, jointly underwritten by all 5. There is a chance that fans of the club could be attracted to attend both team's fixtures, rather than trying to attract new fans from scratch at a new venue?
  5. Sounds like The Showground could be an option for 2026 if things can fall into place quickly, a lot of work to be done but not impossible.
  6. Looking at pictures of the track and stands It is difficult to imagine how it could be done but maybe not impossible.

    Motogp

I believe (also not an expert) that Superbike uses modified production bikes while Motogp are purpose built prototypes. This means that there is more tech on a gp bike which helps them go faster. I see it as Motogp is the F1 of bike racing while Superbike is the GT3 but with less of a performance gap.

  10. You are absolutely right it is a disgrace. It looks awfully like being asleep at the wheel. Treating the fans like mushrooms without even feeding them s**t is worse. Carl Johnson on Speedway 360 stated that Peterborough have been approached by the BSPL about coming back next season. He did state that they are not in a position both track wise and financially to do this but still didn't rule it out completely. Hadn't time to watch the full podcast so don't know how the discussion finished. The planning permission for developing the Showground got turned down, it would be great to see the club return but just how feasible is this ?.
  11. Monkey Tennis!!!! Or... Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank.. A Haaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
  12. Cairns and Rushen also advertised so we'll have all 3 thank you 😁
  13. I wouldn’t want to condemn any. I am pointing out the math of the situation and the consequence of the current promoters failing to agree on a way forward.
  14. Flights and hotel booked for our first visit to Wroclaw. We're looking forward to it. Our 4th different Polish City to watch a GP. May do the Prague weekend again. Love the City, even if its Petriny racetrack constantly produces perhaps the least entertaining GP event of the series.
  15. Awesome! Saw them in Nottingham on the Wednesday, brilliant show 🤘. I wonder if they were playing "Still Counting" at the AGM? 😂
  16. I believe Bradford is too expensive and from what the stock car people are saying the rugby people(who have a short memory )could be kicking them out and who knows what’s going on at Eastbourne, I personally think it’s a family dispute but whatever the reason they don’t want speedway back
  17. Well of all the riders advertised to be attending its unlikely to be Charles Wright or Brady Kurtz!!....or is it!??
  18. Nicolai is advertised in speedway star as making an appearance, does not say if it's on the comets stand though 😄
  19. Trade stands, nostalgia or promotion, it doesn't matter what you call it, everyone who wants the sport to continue has to try and do their bit. If by pushing an open door tomorrow keeps the door open then great. If you let the door close it gets locked. I will be there early tomorrow and also at the offroad show in Telford next year trying to keep a little bit of that door open.
  20. Didn't the people who relaid the track at Odsal try and get someone to run the promotion but no one came forward?
  21. Apparently already snapped up by Poole, no surprise there.
  22. How about Bradford or Eastbourne? Both have tracks already there unused ?
