  1. Past hour
  2. Most fans will be wondering how the Premiership can solve their problems regarding number of Teams.
  3. Sheffield have struggled around Leicester as of late. Leicester to qualify for the final in comfortable fashion.
  4. Next season will be 2 leagues & not many changes …kick the can down the road. Hopefully finally address the gaps teams have in home fixtures particularly in the “summer months”
  5. Today
  6. The three things that are the most important were spot on. Track , quality of racing and the pace of the meeting the track was very smooth and slick which is perfect for riders starting out in their careers. the racing was competitive and close in the main. yes several teething problems but nothing that can’t be easily sorted lovely to enjoy Saturday night speedway again and the racing looks so much better under lights.
  7. I'll have a pint of whatever you're drinking!
  8. So Warner/TNT are putting more money in? Or BSPL are paying out more to clubs of what they already have received from Warner Bros?
  9. Tuesday’s final 2nd leg line-ups Vastervik 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Smederna 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
  10. Final line-ups Slangerup 1 2 3 4 5 Vojens 1 2 3 4 5 Grindsted 1 2 3 4 5 Holsted 1 2 3 4 5
  11. Thanks couldn't find result on sportwoefakty but I'm sure the fixture was listed on it previously.
  12. It was won by the Seychelles-German rider Mario Häusl, ahead of Poland's Maksymilian Pawelczak, and Belle Vue's German rider Norick Blödorn.
  13. Yesterday
  14. Wouldn't bother giving Doyle another PWC, all he is likely to do is injure himself or another rider... Fricke is worth another PWC. If no Laguta & Sayfutdinov... I think I'd give Parnitskyi & Cierniak a go, they'll finish 14th & 15th but so would Kvech & Huckenbeck. Woffinden got a pick in 2011 and struggled badly was frankly uncompetitive... dropped out in 2012 but qualified for and won 2013. Who's to say Parnitskyi couldn't do the same.
  15. Well yes... stats suggest Fricke is half a point better than any other rider in the Premiership this year. GP's have 12 also rans,3 medalist... of the also rans Fricke is probably the most interesting to watch alongside Thomsen & Lindgren.
  16. I generally dislike Jack Holder, he's not at all interesting to watch as a rider & comes across dumb in interviews... but every rider touches the tapes once a season & most celebrate winning a heat in someway.. the video is bit pathetic.
  17. Good to know that the reopening was successful. The continuation of speedway at any venue has to be celebrated. As a Coventry fan and someone that has visited Mildenhall on several occasions, I am pleased that this venture hopefully has a successful future. Well done to all concerned.
  18. I’d like to see something along the lines off….. 1 big league this may give us say 14 teams. 7 riders per team although have thought about 6 but unsure if this actually works not done much research in to this. End of season the top 6 teams go in to the “premiership” play off (name can be changed to suit) the next 6 teams go in to the “championship” play off 3rd Vs 6th and 4th vs 5th. With the top 2 meeting the winners in the semi finals. This would allow the stronger former prem teams to push and strive for the top 6 places and then the more illustrious trophy however they wil have more fixtures and it will give lots of chances for riders to attend new tracks. on top of this plus a cup match each team should get a minimum of 24 races over the season. On top of this each team has to create a development team (team of 3 or 4 riders) who will also race over the period of the meeting and after if needed and these points will go towards the overall league table of the main team. so on the night you can get 2 points for a win, 1 if the development team win and then the bonus aggregate score. This will then allow development level riders the chance to be in the pits with stronger riders however protecting them from racing against them. This would also allow those 3/4 per team far more chances to learn and pick brains. I think that would work well. We can also keep the development league.
  19. Kevin Juhl Pedersen was AWESOME considering the conditions ! He had never seen the track before and led the way in all his races. What a rider he is going to make....I hope we sign him next season ! Seemed very friendly to the few fans that were spectating too...giving them a friendly wave whenever he could.
  20. Well Done on artistic content. Would Jack be bothered with video? I would be surprised if he was.
  21. On the plus side: Done by 9.30pm Only 4 reruns - all for riders moving at start Track rode well Crowd around 400 On minus: Starting gate malfunction so green light starts Failure to inform crowd of team changes Burger van late (good job I stopped at West Row chippie). Overall an encouraging start
  22. Yes, I see two of his businesses, Purplerock, and City auction group are sponsoring this upcoming meeting.
  23. Gotta say Fricke is a different animal in the UK this season, probably the best rider of the season? However he is still lacking at GP level and remains pretty much an also ran.
