He's going to have to find a way of ideally getting an 8 team top league and 8 team second division I think doubling up will have to stay due to shortage of riders. Given Poland and one other league in 2027 I think the long awaited reset will be forced to happen at most likely a sub current championship standard as if the Poland ruling happens most of the remaining top guns I would imagine will depart.

Batch at 5 sounds great to me especially if Cookie/Tate can reform their partnership. Batch for 2 seasons has been the backbome of the side and gets knocked for his one off poor performances when over the whole he held the side together. This is looking one exciting team 🤩

stewmac started following Week by week breakdown of fixtures across mainland Europe 2026
-
As part of my earlier Teams and Fixtures blog, which I posted about last month, I've now created a week-by-week fixtures list for all mainland European leagues and other relevant fixtures such as SGP, SEC, IMP and others. Obviously we don't have all fixtures as yet, so it's a work in progress, but once the remaining leagues publish their fixtures, I'll be adding them in as well. Everything is colour coded to make it easier to follow. Hope it helps for anyone planning any trips this coming season. He’s totally right, it should have been discussed at the AGM, maybe it was but there was no mention in the statement
-
Cook & Zischke together would leave Batchelor at 5, mostly paired with a reserve, so not sure on that. I'd generally have the 2nd heat leader at 5, especially if he's as good as a number one to give real strength in heat 13 especially. So far the team looks really decent (as long as Cook starts the season).

Oh oops, didn't see that bit, but surely its gotta be the same rule across the board, as in all leagues, but then again it is Britain speedway we're talking about so god knows😆
-
If you mean the 8% reduction mentioned in the recent AGM, this is for Championship only.
-
Good looking Team on paper so far.
-
I suspect you’re correct with that last line. 2 pointer or low 2 average with 5.00 from the continent is my best guess. I suspected it may be Max Perry but not sure he would fit in with the numbers. Anyone have any guesses on the potential second string?
-
Takes his GSA down to 7.77 after adding the 2.5% British Reduction discount as well.
-
kevin bass started following Sheffield Tigers 2026
-
Sure its 8% for every full season
-
No mention of a percentage- like a lot of things in speedway they'll just make it up as they go along!
-
What % is the further reduction?
-
Well on the 2025 rules and regs it says the following for average amendments- 010.2.3 Amended MA’s With the approval of the BSP LTD GC or Directors for: - d) riders who have been absent for more than 1 full season due to a speedway injury So from that, I'd suggest woffy is likely to get a higher deduction than the standard 2.5%. That being said, I'd say it's more than likely a mistake on the speedway gp site. I cant see woffy doing the gps and the UK, I fully suspect his focus will be elsewhere. And especially for Sheffield I can't see a side where we wouldn't include picko. I'd be very surprised if it's anything other than the 7 already touted.

Didn't he ride for Plymouth?
-
like that 2 left to name not sign im sure the team is sorted or at worst only 2nd string position to fill
-
Good luck to Cookie this season, the Comets looking really competitive already with two riders left to name.
-
If he can avoid getting involved with a Premiership team, and if the speedway gods don't send him something thay messes his head up, it might just work out
-
1. J. Jeppesen 8.20 2. ????? 3. T. Batchelor 7.10 4. T. Zischke 5.76 5. C. Cook 7.99 6. ?????? 7. V. Foord 3.68 = 32.73 (2 left) Vuolas off to Scunny potentially??

As i see it the big difference is the position of the Councils, both saying more or less the same that the Stadium is very important to the town as are the teams, but Poole council know how much publicity the Pirates bring in is good for the town.
-
So it seems that Ipswich may field a decent 1-7 after all.😉
-
Will cook be at number 5 or at 3 with tate at 4 considering they were brilliant together 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Another Poole Speedway article in the Echo online today with Matt Ford (more coverage than Semenyo!) stating that any discussion about a 'one league set-up' for 2027 should start NOW, including clarity on likely rider costs and any TV/broadcast contract. Its no good leaving it til August/Sept when many clubs have started their team-building for the next season. He has confirmed once again that Poole will NOT go 'up'(?!) into the Premiership within the present structure and fixed race nights!
