  1. Past hour
  2. Didn’t someone say Brennan was Sheffield bound? @PhilTheAce I think??
  3. Just also like to add that there's still a chance Hook returns, unless he's signed elsewhere. The longer the signing drought goes on, the more plausible it is that we havent signed our full team yet.
  4. I also find it baffling but zischke has been amongst the main body of the team for 2 seasons. Hook excelled at reserve and beat some good riders over the course of the season. However, when he guested in the main body of other teams, he was poor. Thats not to say Hook wouldn't have been good in the main body over time, but I partially understand the hesitation from the promotion. Still believe he deserved a chance after his performances last season. I remember him rounding Chris Harris at Northside.
  5. I'm sorry this comment is laughable, talk about knee jerk reactions 😂 Let's just forget about the other meetings he's raced while back home then, in some stronger fields I must add. We all like Jacob Hook, but think anyone who watches Speedway knows who the more exciting / faster / talented / rider is.
  6. If Ippo do run in 2026, they coudl have a top two of Woofy and Lidsley, both of whom seem to be unattached at the moment.
  7. Here is a strange question you don’t get everyday, on the back of the speedway star this week there is an advert for the Ben fund meeting at Glasgow and in the corner there is a picture of a statue of a man on a horse with a traffic cone on his head, why ?
  8. I was told this 1-7 a while back and it's looking bang on so far. J. Holder Flint C. Holder Rowe Pickering Etheridge Harrison (RS)
  9. Pickering Museliak, and Gilkes? Think that just about fits the limit. Harrison for RS?.
  10. Today
  11. I would agree Jacob would be a good signing, seems to be improving too.
  12. On the evidence of my own eyes, Jacob Hook has far outperformed Tate Zischke over the past two nights. I'm not suggesting Workington shouldn't persevere with Tate, that's their business, but I find the decision not to have kept Jacob on board quite baffling.
  13. Round 2 result Jack Holder 18 Lidsey 16 Tungate 15 Ben Cook 14 Zach Cook 12 Cumulative after 2 rounds Jack Holder 36 Lidsey 34 Tungate 29 Ben Cook 25 Zach Cook 22
  14. Another negative article about Oxford Stadium in the mail. Not a good look, even if it has no substance. https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/25737397.heavily-indebted-oxford-stadium-misses-key-accounts-deadline/
  15. Hope ya right,Always round 3 ,could be testing or guessing, he’ll be right by the start of season
  16. I would not read too much in to the results in Australia, come March/ April he will be fine. He dropped a point off his average last season so I am expecting a big improvement. He has a marginally higher average than Bowes and is clearly a much better rider so I would expect a much bigger difference in their averages at the end of the season.
  17. Which is a lot further than the BSPL have done many times with there plans over the years. 😂
  18. Talk about being hypercritical. I thought it was only reddit football fans that jumped to conclusions so quick. Tate has been very good in Aus. He finished third and fifth overall in his first two meetings over there, only getting beaten by people youd expect him to. Whereas Hook, who you all seem to be praising, was absolutely awful, getting beat by junior riders. Yesterday he was disappointing but it was due to bike issues and today hasn't been much better. I expect he'll push on as the championship progresses but we'll see. Zischke will most certainly be a better rider this season with less travelling and better equipment. Edit: dont think im slating Hook here, because im not. Hook was phenomenal last season and if it were up to me, he would have been first name on the list. Yes there are doubts around whether he can perform in the main body of the team, but he earned a chance by his performances last season.
  19. I think we signed the wrong ausie , is Lemon his mech for the nite?
  20. Pretty sure that averages in that era included bonus points, but even so, he was very impressive. Tall riders tend to look clumsy on a bike but he was an exception.
  21. Shouldn't be getting beaten by those guys... Hopefully all comes good in Mildura...
  22. should of walked that race not looking good.at all.
  23. Got to agree that Tate should be making the Semis at a canter... Appreciate he had bike issues yesterday, but thought he claimed to have them sorted... Hopefully a stronger last couple of rides from him
  24. Poor move regardless imo. Kurtz and Bewley is massive one-two punch but the rest of the team can't be anything to rave about imo considering it's just over 19.00 left for 4 Riders.
  25. Went a bit too wide in his 3rd ride without generating the speed to get around. Hooky is doing okay again. Tate should really be top 7 in this field in my opinion, anything less is disappointing.
  26. We were fortunate to be able to see Michael in full flight. A joy to watch.
  27. Mmmm, judging by performance in Australia, dropping Lidsley might be a poor move. Still reckon the BV will make the p.offs though.
