Top teams are expected to win at home, which the top four do regularly. Personally, I think that Ipswich v Leicester would make the best final as they are better on the road than Belle Vue and Sheffield, having more depth in their teams to cope with technical tracks where pure speed isn’t the answer.

Better start than I thought tbh. I’d be happy with this in the play offs. But are Ipswich lowering averages

Oxford v Sheffield 14.8.25

Track not looking the best tonight, shame the riders haven't got the engines to cope with conditions -
Why did the ref leave it to B4 of L1 before putting the reds on only to call all 4 back? Why not B2?

Agree

Etheridge almost looked like he fell off by himself there, seemed to have recovered from the initial contact and then binned it by himself

Because he was half asleep by the looks of it 😴

With gates 1-3 being constantly better at Oxford every week and majic winning the coin toss why did he give the choice to Sheffield ? -
Brady as other things on his mind also no risks needed !! ipswich looking likely to finish top and Aces 4th so like Rob said testing & set ups !! priority !! and keeping injury free of course !!

More than klindt

Ipswich v Belle Vue 14/08

big crowd in tonight - good to see -
I ment Plymouth's new signing at Number One. He will score a hatful tomorrow im sure on a track that suits him. Im amazed he and Plymouth have gotten away with it. Then again maybe I shouldn't be.
-
The situation with Klindt is an absolute joke, cannot really blame Plymouth its the knobheads in charge of the sport who keep letting it happen who are to blame. same with Knudsen at Oxford. How many meetings has he missed now?
-
Result is meaningless as not going to win, I’d use it as a testing session to test some setups etc, certain riders could reduce their averages a bit.
-
Yes, any signings had to be made before last week's home meeting against Berwick. Apparently they had someone lined up but couldn't get his visa sorted before the deadline.

While this is true, it really makes little difference who the riders are, yes sayfutinow and laguta should be there and I hope they are back next season if nothing else just to prove they are not the threat to the championship that people think they are, imo they are no better than holder or lindgren who are top riders but never really look like a world champion, yes laguta did it once but he isn’t that rider anymore but he should be there -
Less points money for the promotion to pay,win win really 😀

Rubbish. He did very well and was open and frank on here at the time. But a few took it on themselves to insult him and the team so that was that. Led to the dramatic 2004 WC at Poole in front of ten thousand fans and the final heat, where Hans Andersen took it on himself to block Nicholls allowing Peter Karlsson to win it for Sweden. Plus Nicholls IIRC pulled up when a member of the crowd flashed a red light.
