  2. Sunday’s play-off matches line-ups Czsstochowa v Gorzow play-down Semi 1st leg- start time 4pm UK time Czestochowa 9 10 -1 12 13 14 15 16 Gorzow 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Torun v Wroclaw play-off Semi 1st leg- start time 6.30pm UK time. Torun 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Wroclaw 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
  3. Yes, but... I dare say that if Peterborough and Wolverhampton were still in operation then Oxford would still be riding in the CL & NDL only. They came "up" with Birmingham when the 2 aforementioned clubs ceased operation to make the numbers up for a viable PL to operate and keep the TV people happy.
  4. It was their own business decision and was almost heralded as being a great idea as it meant "weekly Speedway", which for so many (who don't have to actually fork out for weekly Speedway), seemed almost utopia at the time... The reality is that the "novelty" of their return has worn off as it always naturally does at every new track, and paying for sometimes two meetings a week, (more if fans go away too), will always be a challenge... Just the two leagues next year? 2nd and 3rd tier?
  5. Sunday’s play-offs matches line-ups Krosno v Bydgoszcz play-off Semi 1st leg- start time 12pm UK time Krosno 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Bydgoszcz 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Ostrow v Lodz play-down Semi 1st leg- start time 2.15pm UK time Ostrow 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Lodz 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
  6. Becker scored 11 from 5 in Sweden last night, beating all of Lejonen top 5 (Madsen, MJJ, Nilsson, Chugunov and Drabik) - encouraging for Lions.
  7. Should one of the first names on the team sheet. Build around something like this. 1. Bewley or Kurtz 3. Zagar 4. B. Cook 5. Lidsey
  8. Sunday’s play-off Semi’s 1st legs line-ups Daugavpils v Gdansk Daugavpils 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Gdansk 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Pila v Gniezno Pila 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Gniezno 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
  9. From Day 1 I said it wasn't financially viable to run in all three leagues. Higher ups need to take some responsibility in this as well imo and maybe they should help Oxford out financially.
  10. Maybe said rider has decided to not spend any more money on his UK kit until he gets paid?
  11. Looking at Fricke's astonishing win in heat 6 again on video and it looked a very spurious call from the ref... Is it the 3rd year now of transponders and they appear still not to be working correctly at all tracks, it was announced that the ref made his decision based on watching the video. Also, there were problems with the automated starting systema over at King's Lynn on Monday... Technology and British Speedway don't seem a great mix.
  12. Well, “everyone” except Edinburgh last Wednesday (58-32) and Oxford 3 days later (55-35)
  13. Today
  14. not really, as far as i can see it's still only hearsay...seems very strange this has only come to light after a riders engine failures on Monday night.
  15. Ok thanks, wasnt sure of rule, I knew you could ride for your own team after a guest appearance at same venue.
  16. How is Hook allowed to guest for Oxford when he rode there for Workington on Sunday? Doesn't 8 day rule apply?
  17. Driver was nailed on weeks ago but can confirm a mini bus will be in attendance
  18. That is rubbish, Lidsey is one of the best in the league especially away, Zische and Blodorn have both been disappointing but Mulford has been better recently, Zach has had an up and down season but is capable of good scores in the play offs.
  19. Jaimon Lidsey.... Currently tied 9th in the averages with Danny King.... With a higher away average too...
  20. And when you hear the amount of what some riders are owed it makes you wonder. Where will they find that money before Monday. worrying times ahead
  21. Update on Przyjemski. He suffered an ankle fracture and a small back fracture.
  22. Just need to gain momentum for the play offs. Can’t see any team beating them man for man on form.
  23. Yesterday
  24. I don't know the finances but I would bet the BSI did take a share in the financial risk even if the local promoter had the most to lose. I am not suggesting a GP is going to cause a surge in domestic audiences but it can only have a positive effect. I don't think holding a gp in USA/Argentena/Australia/New zealand will be a profitable event, unless you take into account growth of the sport and sponsorship. The same could possibly be said for UK(if it was a single event), Latvia, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Russia. Discovery failing to grow the series is now causing them sponsorship problems.
