Apparently he wont be coming over here in 2026 as he is still in education, and I'd be amazed if he's on a 4 anyway.
-
Adam Bubba Bednar over on a 4.00? š surely Topinka and Kvech can have a little word in his ear š¤·š»āāļø would be a fantastic signing and would be the difference between us finishing top 4 and either 5th or 6th

Which makes me think there should have been a rule put in place to stop those two signing for the same teams, why dont they grade the reserves the same way they used to a few years ago? Theyve stopped teams signing one rider over an 8 average but done nothing about riders at the bottom of the team. The season is over, award Poole the title now.

Just a little bit?

Witches v Foxes 28.05.26

Baaa! Sadly too hot for that! - Today

That ship has sailed regarding changes could only be like for like with little or no options. It feels like you have been transported back to 2008 with a team cobbled together which arenāt very good but they have managed to convince you it is a good team. Thankfully the fixture calendar will be short this year.

The original post has been deleted. Oops probably shouldnāt have said anything, probably have someone jumping down my throat again š

Although Zach isnāt as good as Lawson or Masters, I think itās more of a case that heās younger and has aspirations to try and make it further in the sport, like his Brother, and then riders like Basso Brennan Nagel and many other riders who left the champ despite never hitting a 9 average. I still firmly believe Zach is riding at about 75%, and come the playoffs he will find that extra gear like last year

Mitch would have been a great signing to show intent for the future of speedway and not the past! IMO we have far too many old riders now which is only worsening the sport by not giving chances to the younger generation, you want to bring young people to Foxhall but donāt give them anyone who they could relate to? As much as I hate Falubaz, Mitch is performing well, even when Madsen does push him off!
-
IMO they just want to get through the season and try and keep their fan base with a view to building a more competitive team next year .

Following on from last weekās debacle over the SON 2 non TV coverage, Richard Coleman of Mayfield Sports has issued a statement which appears in this weekās Speedway Star, out today. There is also a section on the Social media outrage over the meeting. Would he have said anything if a reporter hadnāt contacted him ? Doubtful in my opinion. So thousands of Speedway fans worldwide wonāt be able to watch the FIM flagship junior Speedway finals, which we are used to seeing. 3 SGP 2 and the SGP 3 final in 3 weeks. The SGP 3 final in recent years has produced some superb Speedway from the youngsters on their 250cc bikes. If Coleman knew last year that the SON 2 meeting would not be filmed by Mayfield Sports itās a shame he didnāt have the balls to tell anyone !! I think of the streaming we have currently- BSN, Sweden and Denmark 4 live matches per week and of course Poland where many meetings are on TV, or streamed. One such meeting is this afternoon - the Bronze Helmet produced for the live showing on the Motowizja channel by Sabmar TV. Even the FIM have a streaming channel along with their partner Tapes up TV. So where does that leave the FIM ? I suspect angry and disappointed. There is i would hope time for the powers that be to sort something out for the SGP 2 finals coverage as the 1st final is not until the 10th July.

I don't understand the Kennett signing but Jenkins would've made even less sense given his form for Redcar. Other options from the Champ would've been Jake Allen, Michael Palm Toft, Mitchell McDiarmid, Jonatan Grahn, Kevin Juul Pedersen or Connor Mountain?

Really they only got one reserve who was gonna add 4 points to his average, as Cairns started near 4.00 not 2.00 like Rushen, unless you thought Cairns was an 8 pointer pre-season? Can't believe anyone thinks Zach Cook is "too good for the Champ" not even got an 8 point average. But yes, there is lots to admire about his they have built this team, hard to see anyone challenging them over 2 legs for trophies.

This is his third full season in the championship I agree about Hagon. imo, this year's British U21 Championship is going to be a much stronger lineup than last year. Scott, Cairns, Harrison, and possibly Rushen. These boys, imo, are the future of British speedway, with Dan Thompson, Flint and maybe Luke Killeen. Oh, I forgot to add the young lad at Scunthorpe, Ryan Ingram. He looks very promising.

Lambert's average at reserve 4.71 (5.18) vs Jenkins average as a second string 3.27 (4.36). Even if Lambert drops a point from moving up to second string, still strengthens the team. If Lambert was replacing Wright, I'd agree "awful signing" but he's replacing a struggling second string.

So next up for the Pirates.....the Monarchs(&visa versa) should be a great night of speedway, but who will come out on top? Edinburgh not having Dan Thompson and Poole having Tate Zishcke as a guest. This could prove to be really telling result for the rest of the season. Personally I think Edinburgh are going to do well in 2026, certainly the most successful Scottish club?! What do you think?

Youāre missing the point. Speedway lives and dies on entertainment; Poole are starving the sport of that while they fill their trophy cabinet. I was vocal about recommending a Poole meeting to two colleagues from Bournemouth last season and unsurprisingly, they havenāt been back. This has absolutely nothing to do with Pooleās support or their annual revenue.
