  1. Past hour
  2. They’re split second decisions though for a rider. He had his wheels in line and opened the throttle and was making a pass. Stick or twist? Keep it pinned and make a pass in a grand final, or shut off and lose the opportunity. To be fair track was a little tricky early doors, quite deep and heavy. Had that been later in the meeting when it dried and slickened off a bit more, he could have made that move stick. Certainly don’t blame the boy for giving it a go.
  3. Tbf to Leicester, it’s not likely to be a great atmosphere when it’s the away team doing all the overtaking.
  4. No they do seem unlucky, it looks a very well built team and should win things but something always seems to go wrong, Gavin seems a nice guy too, maybe they were waiting on Riss because he could of come back and Redcar probably could not afford someone like Nagel.
  5. Firstly they ARE walking the league. They pi$$ed the semi final and they’ll pi$$ the final. Secondly, no not everyone DOES get injuries. Some are more fortunate than others. It’s pretty unfortunate to lose not just one, but your TWO most important riders at the exact same time isn’t it? Ipswich lost the biggest weapon in the entire league when Thompson got injured. At reserve, he was scoring heatleader points on a regular basis. And Doyle had started the season very well after almost a year out, until he dislocated his hip and hasn’t been the same rider since.
  6. It’s funny, we got knocked out the cup to your advantage 😉Brennan won you the cup
  7. I'm sure its not as simple as that. As has been said they had a deal which fell through late in the day, pretty sure Parr was on an episode of No Brakes No Fear at the time and explained it. No doubt they would prefer seven riders rather than having to source guests. They never seem to have much luck with injuries/illness unfortunately.
  8. Glasgow got Nagel so there are riders out there willing to come here.
  9. Think Parr said they had a replacement for Riss but deal fell through or could have been the cut off date, but something stopped it happening.
  10. Oh ok so he can ride against Glasgow sunday, means they still need a guest for Friday for him. I think Gavin Parr said he had Friday sorted but was struggling with the rule book and guests for Sunday so its just Sunday he needs a guest for Riss who they should have replaced, he has been out a long time.
  11. Today
  12. Those that were on their phones should be embarrassed. No wonder Dickson gave them a dressing down.
  13. With the averages etc there are not that many options regarding lower average riders, there is just in a gulf between top end and bottom end riders IMO.2 different levels in 1 match.
  14. I would imagine that he stuck by Kemp as based on the September averages he has put the largest percentage on his starting average. Be interesting to see who the Supporters Club give most improved rider to this year as last year Becker won the award and was the only Lion to reduce his average throughout the season!
  15. Really enjoyed my first visit to Leicester last night, good crack with the home fans near us and nice to see so many other witches fans make the trip made a great atmosphere! flicking through the races this morning to watch again with replays etc. have to say while there was no contact Dan T was harshly excluded - olly called this on commentary saying he was taking avoiding action when he lost control. All four rider made a good start fighting for the same bit of track, basically by excluding him and not calling that first bend bunching to me the ref is saying next time don’t lock the bike up to avoid Ryan Douglas on the outside Dan just ride your normal line and send him into the fence and I’ll put all 4 back in because you bunched up.
  16. Last night also proved why Drew Kemp has never quite got to the level he should considering his ability. Everyone has bike issues sometimes and one duff ride is acceptable but to have 4 is unacceptable.
  17. ... having said that, on a positive note he has been the most successful Leicester manager ever, winning us the league & Shield in 2019 and the Cup this year, not only that but he has made Leicester a competitive force to be reckoned with after always being a Cinderella club with some terrible manager through the years. He does seem quite charismatic, speaks his mind and is generally quite upbeat, I do feel at times though that he has a CL mentality rather than a PL one especially when it comes to rider selection at the lower end, maybe he's been a bit too loyal to riders not performing (Cook & Hagon). He called the riders out last night for "playing" on their phones and it was interesting to hear that John McGuinness also made a similar comment when he was interviewed
  18. Is it to much to ask of the expert commentator to actually know what the rules are regarding awarding races?
  19. TOBI on a mission in heat one as he sets the tone for the win by beating Charles Wright!! GO PIRATES ☠️ 💪
  20. In fairness to Joe, it is like a decent Amateur Non League Football player being asked to play in the Premier League against some of the best in the world... Riders of Joe's level (and there are quite a few), shouldn't be riding in the top tier... Does nothing for the spectacle or the fans, and even less for them...
  21. You just don't make that dive bomb move at Leicester it never ever works on turn 3 (it can do on turn 1), it's not Sheffield, if you watch the coverage you'll see that every other rider backed off from making that same move during the meeting because it just does not work, everybody else knew this and just because it's a pay off final does not mean that all of a sudden it is going to work.
  22. Dont knock us when our generation is gone so is speedway in this country.
