It’s the very fact that we have looked beyond our own nose that we have our wonderful facility and all its trappings. I’d love it to be replicated around the sport but as you point out some people cannot see beyond their own nose. If the take away from Mondays meeting is about the podium that we have used for over ten years then I’ll take it as a win. If someone came to me and said they have sorted the podium and it only cost £500 I’d say they should be sacked. The current model does exactly what it should do and that £500 would be better spent on the SRBF. You are correct in that I’m not getting your point if it’s not just being unnecessarily picky. We’ve bigger fish to fry as always in our endeavour to drag this sport to a better place and we will continue to do so. I’m sorry you feel we don’t provide you with a good first impression before a bike is even on track and I can quiet see why you are and always have been disillusioned with our sport given the feeling you must have both at the NSS and other circuits across the country.

That sounds fair. He’ll know himself if he’s up to it. Interesting but polarising character. The most successful British speedway rider ever in terms of world championships but his swearing and tattoos put some people off.

No point in trying to point out what I’m trying to say because your just not getting it, to a degree it doesn’t matter what your grievances are with the sport no matter how much they are valid because you’re already there,,it’s how do we move outside your little bubble and attract a new audience that is vital to the future of the sport and the world we live in is very superficial and first impressions are everything, it doesn’t matter what the podium is made of pallets or whatever but the causal viewer doesn’t need to see it because thats their perception formed before a bike is even on a track,try looking past your own nose

Dont know to be honest what his 2026 club commitments are, and probably not just simply a case of dropping from GP's creating time for a UK club commitment, but he's been speculatively mentioned before in connection with Northampton. In the absence of any team news so far (and no, that is NOT a negative remark, merely an OBSERVATION), speculation is the only option, no matter how incorrect it proves to be!

Woffinden has apparently been promised a WC for next season, provided he rides well and avoids injury this year. I don't think they've learned anything.

You would have thought that an exciting new venture... a new track for our "action packed" sport... would be something to be shouted from the rooftops... brought to the attention of all and sundry... but instead it's a well guarded secret that's being kept under wraps for some reason... Not the reason but you have inadvertently nailed it. Phil Morris and his like are happy to tinker with things around the edges without addressing the MAIN issue - the racing. That is why the sport is on its arse as it’s a very boring spectacle and the reason I hardly attend. I’ve never, nor would ever stop attending due to bogs, food, cost, rider standard or podiums but when it’s consistently boring, I stop. I am no way alone on this but this propensity of some speedway folk to be continually sprinkling glitter on a turd is astounding. Anyway back more important matters, the podium - rosewood, mahogany, teak?

Another thing about the trophy presentation, it took that long to get the riders back onto the centre green that their was only a couple of dozen people left in the grandstand. It's not only belle Vue that it happens it's most places, the presentation should take part immediately after the race, not 10 minutes after

Maybe good news the council owns it, as if as the poster says the football club may go pop . But the said person does talk a lot of hot air at times 😜

That’s always going to be the problem. There are not enough suitable standard riders to fill all team spaces with doubling up ditched. it would need to be 5 or 6 man teams to get anywhere near close enough for a suitable standard of rider to fill all teams.

Can anyone remember back to Skegness and the timescales for when they got the go ahead and team etc?

Belle vue has been like that since I can remember. So 40 years of crap presentation, crap food, crap drinks ( if there’s any left). Luckily the NSS has saved them in the entertainment department otherwise I’d have stopped going long ago.

About 12 days since it was announced, yippee we have a 6th track 😀 The season has officially started, proper fixtures start next week, but still no team members announced no team name, no names of who is running the club 😜 so I presume that because of these missing items no publicity can be done 🤔. Shambles
