Not aware of that. The Poole team that was submitted for the programme was Kerr at 3 and Cook at 5, which is also the team on the BSPA website and Poole's social media this morning. PS Apologies for the error regarding Poole's sponsor in the programme - of course, it's Wessex Marine and will be corrected when Pirates are next in town. My error - it's been that sort of week but now looking forward to seeing speedway back at Oxford!

UK Speedway also isn't taken as seriously by a good many riders who ride in Poland... "Much more fun to do"... "You can ride often with, and against your mates"... "No pressure, not like in Poland"... Quotes from the past couple of years from some who ride in Poland every weekend... Maybe machinery too isn't up to the levels of some who just ride the UK? You wouldn't want to spend a ton of money to not earn several tonnes of money...

Maybe the only reason was Kerr did well at Plymouth and has started the season off pretty well and something they will try out away from home as I see Cook reverting back to 5 at home.

I'm still not seeing the charity - they qualified for this via the SoN, nobody has handpicked Ukraine to ride in this. They've also ridden in every SoN bar one, even before Russia invaded, so that doesn't stack up either. Out of curiosity, who would you pick for the Russian team? Presumably Artem and Emil are a no-go, now they're Polish citizens? Guess we'd be back to 2021 with Vladimir Borodulin Sergey Logachev and Mark Karion, when they finished below France and Latvia.
