Czech GP Prague Saturday 23rd May

So you're better to finish 3rd, 6th, 8th or 9th in the heats than 4th, 5th, 7th or 10th because that'll put you in LCQ1 where the points for finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in that race is 1 point more than it is in LCQ2. Finish 4th in the heats and you're in LCQ2 finish 9th and you're in LCQ1... finish 2nd in either and 4th highest race points scorer gets 11 points and 9th highest gets 12 🤷♂️ But then you could finish 10th in the heats and win the bloody thing... I'm sorry it's just wrong in my book. I think I'd just prefer it if the same points were awarded for finishing 2nd, 3rd & 4th in the LCQ's. Ideally they'd be racing each other for the points but that doesn't seem to be the way these days. Good GP tonight though for what it was 👍🏻 -
You don't get a chance to score an extra point, you get the extra point if you've scored higher than the same finisher in the other LCQ scored in the heats. LCQ1 - 3rd, 6th, 8th, 9th LCQ2 - 4th, 5th, 7th, 10th. I see the argument that if you've finished 3rd on points, and are in LCQ 1, then you'll get more points for finishing 2nd than whoever finishes 2nd in LCQ 2 does. That's just the advantage of scoring the 3rd highest points score though. If the 5th placed rider from LCQ2 finished in the same position as the 6th placed rider did in LCQ 1, they'd get more points because of their score in the heats.

Bank / blank holiday weekend

Send it down here then 🥵🥵🥵 Our lowest temperature is 24/25 next week and some of the 'feels like temp' is 35 esp on Mon/Tues. Glad i don't have to prepare the track! Made me laugh on the news earlier 'no heatwave in Scotland, not even close.' They going to have a shock when they come down on Weds! -
Well he was on Belle Vue & SGP socials collecting some Anlas award on behalf of Bewley. Assume he managed the Australian SoN2 team last night.
-
im not sure but i think something was wrong with them for press and practice so he got Worralls, mind you Gilkes seemed to get his sharpish,,,Tbh our set of riders should be untouchable around our track the amount of times they rode it but you get riders coming over showing us how to ride it after 1 race? I also think the main stumbling block is riders demands, big signing on fees, new bike or engines etc,but in interviews when they get picked up they always say "all i wanted was to get back on a bike" Everone slagged lambert off but he would ride for a packet of fags if it meant he was riding,

According to BSPL lists, Bandits' off-race night is Wednesday.

The choice of guest is so limited these days thanks to the size of the league, who's going to guest for Bewley? Irreplaceable really, maybe Fricke, but realistically it's going to be the likes of Masters, Brennan, Cook, King or Harris etc.

Business is never done at tracks. Always hotels 😜
-
Its a shame theres not a ruling where they could just sign riders for 1-5 matches in situations like this appreciate far from ideal but better than guests as an example if the aces got Emil for three matches you can guarantee all three meeting would have crowds above the average.

It was a great GP, good close racing, easy travelling, easy entry and great view. Only downside were the beer queues and they're was no merchandise on sale apart from Czech Speedway and Dudek had a stall. -

Morris was overseeing it, saw him earlier on, along with Tony Olsson. Credit to him as well as he went and thanked everyone on the centre green personally, marshalls, 1st aiders etc. -
Once again long suffering supporters will be subject to guests galore in what should be one of the key fixtures of the season, and yes before anyone says it because we cannot help injuries but it's just another nail in the coffin.

Didn't see Lemo in the Prague pits tonight 😂

Funny reading the comments after the meeting. The track was watered every single time after 4 heats. And the tractors came out every single time too. There wasn’t one break where nothing was done. Phil prepped the track the same as the qualifying and remember seeing how much grip was on the outside and thinking if this is the same tonight we are on for a good meeting.

Heatwave hasn't got to Cumbria ☹️☹️ heavy rain last nite

I'll grant you, you do need a degree in rocket science to understand this 5h1t... but really it's better to be appearing in LCQ1 than it is LCQ2 no matter what you've scored in the hearts because you just get a chance to score an extra point more for finishing 2nd, 3rd or 4th than you would finishing in the same race position in LCQ2. -
I'm not sure he could, the aim is just to score as many points as possible in the heats to give yourself the best chance. It's not as if there is any advantage to choosing to finish 2nd (as opposed to winning) in the LCQ either, if he had scored the most points, as he'd miss out on the final. Mind, don't take any of this as gospel, my days of keeping track of speedway rules are mostly in the past!

Well why mention it then?
