  1. Past hour
  2. Lots of negative stuff you can say about Brum speedway, one of them isn’t paying riders. Nigel has always ensured funds available for that.
  3. He has a higher average so is scoring more points.. Hence will cost more...
  4. Yes Sedgeman has been poor too which is what Steady was alluding to. The trouble Sheffield had is when Tai got injured they didnt have much to play with average wise. He had a good meeting at Kings Lynn which he should know very well and he has had good meetings at Sheffield but at the moment he does seem to have the occasional bad one. I am sure he will be ok tonight though back at a track usually goes very well at. He has been fine for us lately.
  5. It isn't. Paco is covering for Riss. The only rule i can see regarding guest riders is it has to be the same or less when riding away. However, at home, they get 5% on top
  6. Are you inferring/saying that there was/is an issue with payment of wages not being made on time?
  7. Real Mini Company Oxford Chargers powered by AW Mobbs: Jody Scott (C), Senna Summers, Jamie Halder (G), Ashton Vale, Darryl Ritchings, Kai Ward (G), Max Broadhurst. Belle Vue JR Ashworth & Sons Colts: William Cairns, Jack Shimelt, Jack Kingston, Mason Watson, Freddy Hodder (C), Harry Fletcher, Billy Budd.
  8. What’s the panic? Bears haven't beaten Poole for how long ? and the Bears are at their weakest at the moment nor ridden at home for at least a month, so no riders and no staff by the looks if it !
  9. I agree with most of what you've posted above... with the exception of fixed race nights. It's only getting worse with Poland, Anders Rowe missing for Poole at Redcar tonight, which they Poland have no right to make him "be available", he's not even named in their team at the moment. Poland also tried to run on our KO Cup dates. It doesn't matter what format of Speedway you put out if the fans aren't available to attend, you only have to look at the PL crowds at a reasonably successful Leicester on a Thursday compared to their CL crowds on a Saturday. Belle Vue, reigning champs, woeful crowds on a Monday night. Lowly Plymouth, crowds up on a Saturday night.
  10. I would definitely prefer this to be the case, seems like every meeting either Klindt or Frederiksen is missing, Frustrating. Really hope for next season there is more stability.
  11. Unreliable yes, but I bet he's missed less meetings than Nick Morris over the last two years! 😆
  12. Well there was a big difference last night paid 13 for Edwards and 3 bagels for Hagon. Doesn't matter if they are on the same per point. It's all down to cost as he would have to pay Edwards more because he will score better than Hagon and can't see Hagon getting anywhere near the score Edwards got last night!
  13. You can only do like for like replacements.Or if you want to replace those two and bring in a higher average rider you have to abide by the 40pt team limit. As Sheffiled are .91 over you would only have 9.15 to use for those two.So a 6pt and a 3.15pt rider. Edit:If they done it in July they would have 9.91 for those 2
  14. Today
  15. No not at all. Change is required and that change has to be with both short term (i.e. what can be done now) and longer term (i.e where we want to finish up) objectives. To start with. 1. Do away with doubling up. We know this is in place so that the current number of promotions can field teams. Problem is, this undermines the credibility of the sport. So clearly less number of teams will be required. 2. Recognise that fixed race nights are for now a necessary evil. This may be expanded if and when the "super League" creates traction with media, fans and riders alike as something going in the right direction. 3. Currently there is the availability of credible riders to form eight/nine teams. Make this the number of full time professional clubs for the "Super League". Each of these teams to meet 2H&2A in a season. Two meetings per week 1H&1A Subject to weather etc. This should provide for a 16/18 week season. 4. The promotions of the "Super League" should meet strict criteria such as track availability and long term viability for starters. 5. Those promotions not in the Super League allowed to run NDL type meetings, semi pro at the most and or Individual meetings featuring riders from "Super League". Note, no alternative league should be run which purports to be close to the "Super League2 as a clear demarcation would be required. But, as I have said on many occasions, the biggest challenge facing the sport is in fact the promoters themselves, where a few (at least) continue to act first and foremost for themselves to the detriment of the good of the sport here in the UK. These folk have indeed at times kept the sport going and almost certainly believe the sport "owes them" something. So until they recognise that the sport owes them nothing (they've had their day) and begin to help rather than hinder the transition of the sport from what it is today to something more convincing and believable, we supporters are stuck with what we have - Business as usual.
  16. Eight years ago was a long time and with having the last two out perhaps this is a signing for next season, with this one getting used to racing again and lowering that 8.82 average just a little. Time will tell.
  17. Should have gone for the tac sub in heat 10, then could have switched reserves around so that Sedgeman wasn't in heat14. its almost as if he waited so he could use Jack as the tac sub
  18. Agree with the first part of your statement however Cook won't be going to Redcar.
  19. An RS is on a standard deal, so Sam costs the same per point as Jason!
