Spot on, this meeting was in the calendar a long time ago. And they certainly aren't 'Mickey Mouse' meetings.

There have been 21 weekends between 1st April and 31st August. There was 11 home meetings to fit in (8 League 2 BSN & 1 KO Cup), giving 10 blank weekends. If clubs can't work around the "Mickey Mouse" (they aren't Mickey Mouse to the riders, I bet), especially those in September - then blame the clubs, don't blame the FIM. The FIM fixtures are there for all to see, so there should be no clashes. Workington, as an example, can race on any day of the week (except Monday & Thursday due to Premiership), so fixture clashes with the FIM meetings don't have to happen. Having said that, promoters in general don't seem to want to learn, as it's the same season after season trying to fit fixtures in at the back-end of the season. Until that changes, these types of clashes will continue to happen.

Change at 4 where Gregor Zorko replaces the injured Konzack. Sadly and in my opinion stupidly any points Zorko scores will not count in the final results classification !!!! -
Thruxton was a cracker, watching it I was thinking how entertaining Moto GP could be around that circuit especially Moto3.

Tbf Wright was the real entertainment last night and it would have been a dull meeting without him and Lawson choking the semi final. -
PK should have tried to slow down Anders Rowe in the final rather than chase after Sam Masters. Not getting the last place was far more important. for the Bandits.

They held it at Poole as Poole thought it would be another trophy for them but it bit them on the backside. Should be held on a PL track Kings Lynn. -

It's what do you class as a poor track. Ask the riders and they only want bald slick tracks.ask the the fans and they want to see deep shail and several racing lines. Who's wrong? -
As I've said above Poole and Oxford are not affected by the many weekends of various European fixtures ( not polish leagues ) where weekend clubs are missing several riders or missing meetings to allow riders to travel to these events

But my dad is bigger than your dad Amazing counter argument there well done Don’t think I’ve ever said a big event should be held at Ipswich … our track is as bad as Pooles I don’t deny that But why hold a showpiece event on a crap track … the leagues best riders having to race on an awful track it was a borefest Poole and Ipswich are very similar … riders race for both clubs because both clubs look after their riders extremely well … no rider goes to Poole or Ipswich because they are excited about the track …. They go there because they will be paid on time at a professional club -
It's alright for you lot riding midweek these Mickey mouse meetings don't affect Poole and Oxford at home, most other clubs have had blank weekends or guest tests due to the official and Mickey mouse FIM meetings, and more and more are appearing. The majority of fans are fed up with it and are walking away from speedway due to this lack of fixtures especially in the summer. We have had one of the best summer on record, but most teams have gone several weeks without home fixtures

There is nothing more Mickey Mouse than UK Speedway's version of the sport. Good luck to the lads broadening their horizons, as far too often you can get a false impression as to your actual level by competing against your peer group, many of whom being much less capable than yourself... Good to see these lads test themselves. . And, as has been said, the many weeks of venues not being used isn't their fault...

So this is hopefully happening tonight

Or Ipswich -
Exactly! year after year it's the same clubs other teams are waiting on! As normal we get into September and the weather is getting poor un reliable, so final should be done by late October. Should be simple if the fixtures are not completed by end of August the points get awarded to the away team - lets face it clubs have had all summer to get these meetings done with large gaps of no racing for weeks.

The Poole track is no different from the majority of G B tracks. No better or worse. -
Maybe just maybe clubs should have completed their league fixtures by end August??
-
Can't get enough riders to commit to it.

Do they? It's the Championship that bears the brunt of this nonsense. Who actually pays the expenses for these jaunts? Does it come from the Team GB budget?
