Of course they could. It should be a tight one. I think the Stars will get over the line, but will need at least 37 from Max, Ben, Jan, and Bomber imho. -
They certainly have the funds to tempt someone decent over for the last third of the season if needed.
-
Wouldn’t put it past them. Reserves are stronger than last year. Pederson not quite as strong as they’d of hoped yet, still early days. Hausl looks to be struggling

Workington v Plymouth 09/05/26 3 pm Championship.
SteelShoe replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To be sure I think someone would need to look at the stream. The way I perceived it was the ref had noticed Ben Barker was illegally warming his tyre by spinning his wheel in the dirt at the start ( I noticed him doing the same in one of his earlier races ). This is a disqualification incident that allowed him to go off a 15 metre handicap. However, the ref started the race with all riders at the tapes. Anze Grmek accidentally pulled out his kill switch at the start and wheeled his bike off the track. The race got to the third bend if I remember right before the riders noticed the race had been stopped. Under the rules Barker was allowed to go off 15 metres for tyre warming. Also under the rules if a rider accidentally pulls out his kill switch before the race has started it is deemed to be an unsatisfactory start and the rider is allowed back into the rerun. Both things did happen. What I can't understand was why the ref started the race when he knew Barker was warming his tyre and allowed them to go 3/4 of a lap. -
Good luck too him ,plenty room in that sport,he should do well,

Poole can carry Bowes with no issues, they might be scuppered if a reserve gets injured but apart from that they will walk the league no problem -
Sorry for your loss as you say he was always winding people upon on here another miss thoughts with you and the rest of the family.

2025 Torun SON and SON 2
RacerToft replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Hi, is anybody with a Discovery+ subscription able to check for me if WBD ever made the classic 45 minute highlight show of the SON in Torun? I was able to find this (see link) but since I'm not in the UK I cannot check it. A highlight show from the SON event was never published here, so I wonder if it even exist. https://www.discoveryplus.com/gb/en/sports/2025-10-8/cfe7815e-0749-54ba-a2e5-7e47eb71b140 -
Anyone can do a screen shot to suit an argument. His machine does not go left at any point down the straight and he's lined up to go through gate 3. Video evidence is very very clear on what happened. It seems some still need lessons in basic physics.

hi guys could we leave this alone my son took quite a knock in this incident . he and cooper who are good mates have discussed it and are ok with it. its racing it happens lets move on. -
But, if you look at the video from behind, although Cooper's front wheel is turning left, his bike is still moving straight or to the right. He never comes in beyond mid track. If you look at the first lap Kye Thomson rides a similar line, albeit that he doesn't scrub off speed by over locking. Maybe Cooper was just following the line Kye took on the previous lap, thinking that was the racing line When people say 'what else could Luke have done' then look at the line Jody Scott took at the end of lap one to go inside Luke and much closer to the white line. I doubt anyone is going to change their mind about what happened and who caused it. Of course, these incidents happen in the blink of an eye. Given injuries to riders elsewhere over the last few days I am just glad that the injuries here appear relatively minor (although any concussion is not to be treated lightly)

Championship Predictions 2026
Wee Eck replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Has this all changed since the season got underway? Not the bottom two for sure but Glasgow still number 1 and Plymouth down at 5? Unless Hausl and Bowes up their games then both Glasgow and Poole look vulnerable, Glasgow especially as they lack Poole’s powerful 16 year olds. Redcar have started steadily as have Berwick, perhaps helped by a Stewart Dickson style rain off. Oxford need meetings to come together as a team and Edinburgh need to find out if the win at Glasgow was indicative of things to come. But Plymouth are the stand outs. Will Garry manage to keep his team injury free? Worky need to get a reliable 1-7 otherwise they’ll be the same as last year. And, yet again, sadly, Scunthorpe just need a 1-7. Swapping Gilkes for Lambert is hardly likely to swing the needle. IMO -

Harris is miles better than Thomson? Clashes went 1-1 at Glasgow before a Harris ef, Thomson beat Harris 2-0 at Northampton, which is virtually a neutral track, Thomson currently averaging 9.54 in the Champ vs Harris 7.67! Can't compare Prem aves, as the KOC didn't count.
