Bandits v Comets KO Cup 1/4 Final Sat 25/4/26 7pm
SteelShoe replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You mean you could actually hear him on that side.We must have been in a sound dead zone left hand side of the back straight stand then, thats why we moved to the main stand to hear what was going on. Comets were anhialated from the tapes in those first 8 heats. The score of 39-9 on the program was certainly unexpected and unwelcome in the first leg of a KO Cup tie. The decision by the ref to change his mind in heat 4 and exclude Cookie after previously excluding Reid Battye was shocking. Kildemand was imperious for the Bandits on the night and I couldn't understand why he didn't get heat 15. Huge task tomorrow but the lads owe the fans who made the journey a big performance. Hope Niklas and Reid Battye are not badly injured. -

Not angry about the result as well won the 2nd half. But Greg Blair is susposed to be an impartial announcer, but was gobbing off telling the referee what decision to make, which should not be allowed, also the ref called the result, then after Blair said look at a reply he changed his mind, if he was in doubt he should have deferred the result pending a video review. Comets came back from a bigger defeat in 2018 maybe can do it again š¤ -
š¤Not sure the Management look at it that way though.

Nick was pointing his fingers at Battye when he passed him coming of 3rd/4th Bend on first lap. There need to be bit communication between Bandits as Nick and Kindleman were having a finger wave last week after getting mighty close Racine each other last week

It not sorted if you are on the Backstrait still cant hear announcements.

Like Greg but he does overstep the mark regarding track incidents. He can wind up the crowd with banter on anything else but should stay out of referees decisions and not giving his own. -

Irrespective of the incident it was stupid of Ref to announce the result before checking all avenues available before making his decision.Im assuming they are allowed to look at video evidence if the match is being streamed nowadays .Either Team manager is going to tell him to check it anyway (if it is allowed).Hope Reid is not too badly hurt and speedy recovery it was nasty crash.Took the gloss of a Bandits ruthless display up till the crash. -
Let's be honest, we knew we hadn't done enough last night. I have no love for the KO Cup anyway. Of all the competitions, it seems the most pointless, with the number of teams we have. Never mind.

I like Greg but it wasnāt a great look after voicing his opinion that he headed up to the referees box. He may have said absolutely nothing but it didnāt look good. He probably overstepped the mark but thereās also a degree of people just looking for something to be angry with after the result. -
Not to nitpick on an excellent win but what was morris doing racing Battye on an almost guaranteed 5-1? The only thing I can think of is they had agreed the finishing order before the race. Even so he should have sat behind Battye and then given him a kick up the arse back in the pits. Risking a crash between teammates completely unnecessarily isnāt on. Kind of soured an absolutely brilliant performance by Nick this evening.

Just to put the record straight, tonight's meeting is now available in the replay section. I'm not going to bother watching it tonight, after comments in here I read the match thread, nuff said.

Wasn't expecting that score so well done the Bandits, first of all hope both riders injuries aren't serious and wish them a speedy recovery.Kildeman was on fire, Nick looking more like it, Comets were disappointing does anyone know why Peter and Nick weren't in heat 15 ? -

Jesus Christ.š āNo, no, no⦠sir, I think youāll find there were in fact two, yes two, passes executed - one legally, the other not - during fifteen heats this evening. Well worth the three hourss durationā. -
No they are having a old folks race now, still half a lap to go.

Incorrect, Kyle Newman's pass didn't earn him an exclusion. -

The rule is in place to stop a rider guesting for the same team virtually every week (i.e long term injury cover). I'm not sure why it's waived for number ones though? -
Has it finished yet?
-
I've sacked off the idea now, seems like I've dodged one tonight.
-
Humped I can accept but Blobby has to take it too far with Pumped.
-
Well that was not a result i thought it would be. well done berwick and hope both riders are ok as it sounds like it was a bad one.

Not sure if Cami moaned but the kids running in the kids race did say it was a bit on the slick side and were concerned about a couple off ruts on the second bend
