There must have been around 50 songs played on Friday and you didn't like any of them... what do you want to hear? I wasn't at Berwick last night, if you were, how was the music there? -

We always sit at the same place, the first group of seat in the grandstands close to the loo as my dads legs aren’t great and the speaker cuts in and out intermittently and has for a while. -

I have to admit I was a little worried about Sam coming back to Berwick as a reserve, as he was supposed to be last season. I had half thought he could have been the match winner for Glasgow. He had a few really high points as a bandit and I expected him to be a real danger as a tigers reserve. He does have the talent and I expected (still do) him to shine at reserve. Possibly lacking a little confidence after being thrust into the main team last year? I guess it comes down to how much patience Glasgow has for him. -

Don't know if it was the microphone or the speakers couldn't hear a thing on the back straight either, really needs sorting out. - Today

When I said the same thing about Hausl, you replied to my post, as shown below. I thought after I posted my comments that maybe I was a bit harsh on him, considering how tight the Edinburgh track is. I half expected I would have to eat my words after the Berwick meeting. Knowing a big track would have suited him better. The updates said he had a great 1st ride. What happened in his other two? Things won't get easier for him. Up next, Plymouth. Another very small track. You're correct in your assessment of the two reserves. Hagon should really be kicking on now. Third full season in Division Two. Berwick was his home track last year. I thought he would have been your match winner. As for Hodder. imo he will have some half-decent meetings, but he doesn't look like he has improved that much from last season. Early days, though. -

Agree, Abbie was a good presenter. -
Tricky one to call this due to it being our last fixture before the German GP. Both Brady & Dan (and no doubt Norick) won’t trouble to scores too much as they will be concentrating of their forthcoming world championship bid. I’ll go for a narrow witches victory sealed in a heat fifteen advantage. Above post produced by AI when asking for a prediction using BSF as source material.

I think granite dust mixed with shale on speedway tracks is aimed at binding the materials together with a view to improving structural integrity of the racing surface while still remaining free draining . I think the idea is that the angular granite particles slot between the shale particles increasing the structural integrity so helping resist the forces generated by speedway bikes. The free draining properties are great if the track is really wet, we have seen many times just how quick even after a good soaking it dries out very quickly, just wish the centre green dried out as fast 😃. The other side of the coin is getting enough moisture into the surface during dry weather in order to prevent a surface that looks wet but were the moisture does not go very deep and dust is created very quickly. There is no easy way around this unless the resources exist to facilitate a proper good soak of the track in dry weather starting many hours before even the day of the meeting. This in order to properly ensure that the deeper surface layers get adequately watered. As you rightly state evening meetings will help with evaporation but it may well not be the end of any watering issues. I believe two good bowsers wouldn't go amiss for pre meeting watering during dry weather. I watched the stream after the meeting and was surprised at how dusty it became very quickly probably around heat 6/7. Fortunately I was upwind during the meeting yesterday but on many occasions last season I wasn't and had to move in the early heats on many occasions. It is an issue that is worth exploring , certainly from a customer perspective. -

Managed to watch about 5 heats of Gorzow v Wroclaw. Dreadful. I assume Czestochowa humiliation in Lublin isn't worth watching? -

Speakers on the home straight were crap also have been for at least two years. I don’t know who’s responsibility they are but maybe some joint fundraising between the football clubs and the speedway is needed to replace some of the older kit. I’m no good at organisation but would happily help out if it means we can hear the results and times. -

Transponders arent always reliable. Ive seen it many times where a the video footage contradicts the transponder. In fact, I believe it happened at Berwick last season between Troy and Hagon. -
I dont see who's average will drop to allow the shuffle though. Jamie will remain at 2 pts, but everyone else looks likely to increase theirs.

Ill never slate a young lad, but hes been thrown in the deep end and is struggling. Sam Mcgurk was a gamble, but I understood why they gambled. He was a good rider at NDL level, especially around workington. He was also, alot of the time, on the pace with others at home, he just couldn't gate. Jamie is, unfortunately, a couple of years off this level. He can't gate, and he gets further and further behind as the race progresses. He could maybe fix it but he'd have to be up at northside practicing at every opportunity, which I dont think he can due to where he lives.
