Kingās Lynn Stars vs Oxford Spires - 18.08.25

This team has always been very capable. Ben's injury, close away defeats an home and away to BV and Sheffield that could so easily have been wins - add a bit more confidence and belief and our season could have looked very different..... If this team all fit average wise again next season, I'd probably take it, especially if we can't attract a genuine no. 1.... -

There are clearly some issues at Oxford but fair play to McDiarmid, Killeen and particularly Kildemand for putting in plenty of effort. Palovaara was reasonable considering it was his AFA debut but the less said about the others the better. As a friend of mine said last night, we've only been waiting five months for the Lynn team to all click š the opposition was obviously very poor but nice to hit 60 albeit too late to mean much. -

Agree, some people have to make things up to suit an agenda. It was done early as I even decided to go into the bar last week and have a listen to what the riders had to say. Then I was getting a drink from McDonald's at 10pm. -

"If" that is fhte case ... Then just don't turn up.... And state why..... That way the fans will actually understand and more than likely be on your side.. Turning up and just going through the motions means fans will be cheesed off with you after having paid to watch you ride... And a ban won't make any difference to a rider if they are not getting paid anyway.... -

Because once teams get to the play-off final, none of the previous results matter. Whoever wins on aggregate deserves to be league champions. Now I dislike the play-offs & think top of the league should be crowned Champions. But now it's just a qualification league, finishing top doesn't mean anything more than having choice of home or away leg first! I don't necessarily agree Leicester will win it, I still think Ipswich are favourites, but if they do, they'll be deserving Champions.

Didn't say there was a need for that, just the score I expected based on the 2 sides. I'd hope every rider gave their best for the fans who paid to get in. None of this "lowering of averages" I read about on various posts. -

It's no myth, meetings tend to drag on most weeks last week it was 9-55pm. -
Lovely, edge of the seat, technical riding.... Exactly what the sport is about... Hope they meet in the final... And there is loads of technical riding for Kelvin to enthuse about...

What would be the need for that, Mulford said he was testing different bike before hand, I would hope and expect others were to. -
Villads Nagel is looking like he will give him a run for his money for best newcomer. Nagel hasn't had the benefit of starting from reserve but has been hugely impressive so far, he can gate, can pass outside, inside and cut back. He's had 7 matches and been paid for double figures in his last 5. Nagel has still to go to tricky away tracks Armadale (1 possibly 2 times), and Wimborne Rd (1 possibly 2 or 3 times) but so far is averaging above McDiarmid - who didn't have a great meeting at Ashfield this week, although unusually despite being taken out of his 3rd ride for Masters, McDiarmid still got into heat 15

its done most weeks unless there is an incident meetings at lynn are usually completed within 90-100 mins its a myth that they always drag on -
Everyone has forgotten we were favourites to beat kings Lynn as well on previous form in the cup⦠look how that turned out š¤¦š¼ anything goes in the play offs, I just think we have too many riders you canāt fully rely on at the moment. I agree this season has been brilliant, but we do all know how just one off day for a rider can ruin your success. At least we have talking points and nothing is a given for the play offs, we donāt even know who will face who as everyone still faces each other in the league.

Iāve seen two people on here now come out with āLeicester will win it and theyāll deserve itā and itās fried my brain. Neither have come back with any reasoning behind that statement. They COULD win it, of course they could. So could any of the other three because speedway can be unpredictable and lots of weird and wonderful things can happen over two legged meetings. But Iām struggling to understand how anyone can currently say that the second placed team, who have lost out on aggregate twice already against the top placed team (isnāt that a shocker?) are going to win it and deserve to. Sorry thatās b0llocks.
-
Doyle and Emil and King and Ellis did not have the best meetings and they still only lost by 8, you know that when the play offs come around they will all be much better, I cannot see how Ipswich can lose unless Howarth is more successful next time in his attempt to take Doyle out.
