They are though... they started the season off as another Birmingham and have continued in the same vein, the only difference is they don't have the axe hanging over their stadium.
-
Not sure how they would do that when it is dry and sunny tomorrow. Anyway shame really as not an easy fixture to rearrange.

I understand Plymouth's Bar Bandits travelled up 35-strong by this train to the league match late last season. Said it was a great trip -- the buffet car ran out of beer before Derby! It seems a train trip for the Cup Final might be the way to do it ....

Good contribution from him and a decent hold on for the win, as others have said I think Northampton need a home win to get the interest back - we don't want them to be another Birmingham! My Sheffield supporting mate and I are planning to go when the Tigers are in town next! -
I'm trying really hard to be optimistic, I really am but I'm struggling to see how we win this bearing in mind Fricke's form currently and no Cooper at reserve. Add to that Cook's discomfort round Lynn and I think Ipswich have to start as favourites if only slightly. The podcast are sponsoring the Rider of the Night and I really hope we are spoiled for choice on who to pick π

Amazingly there is a cross country train that goes DIRECT. It does take 9 hours though. And for a random Saturday (and Sunday return) it quotes a quite reasonable Β£112 (before railcard)

Will be interesting to see him race. -
It must be said Oxford did run when the first England game against Croatia was started at 9:00PM & the crowd was very poor. Oxford promotion have at least been honest with their reasons, it would be very easy to hide behind an adverse weather forecast. It will be interesting to see how many speedway events are shelved if the national football team progress further.

Juhl Pedersen in for Bangs. A meeting Lynn simply HAVE to win. No ifs buts or maybes, if they lose this one itβs curtains for the play offs and season over.
-
Juhl Pedersen booked for Lynn away on Thursday. Gets another opportunity.

As far as I can tell the only available racenights are: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Take out: Sunday - Poland (Cook, Masters, Lawson, McDiarmid, Rushen, Cairns) Mon & Thur - Prem. Fri - between Poland and all the Friday Champ fixtures not easy Sat: doubt Jamie would want to have Oxford and Berwick running together Tues - no Swedish clashes, but four riders have Polish under 24 teams. However Polish under 24 league is all but done by end of July. So maybe a Tuesday in August?
-
Oxford have used Sunday before, but then Poland and rider availability comes into the equation

Didnβt really have to, itβs pretty obvious isnβt it? Heβs not going to come out and admit it on live television is he. Excellent at a well run club in Sheffield, saw right through Busters circus at Lynn pretty quickly and sacked them off sharpish, walked in to a car crash at Birmingham and rarely delivered, now riding well again at another well run club at Ipswich. You can guess which kind of Musielak youβre going to be getting when you see which club he signs for every winter.,, -
To be fair to the other trolls on this forum they're not too stupid to be able to read that they are banned from reading and replying to my posts... unfortunately you seem to be! π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«π«

Fascinating video. Interesting that they kept the shape of the track with the road layout.

Oh but you donβt, do you Iain? You have serious issues. βLikedβ by your doppleganger Mike, whoβd have thunk it? You two would light up any party. Absolutely exhausting the pair of you try and suck any joy out of anything and everything π -
Not the bit youβve highlighted no.

Those within the Speedway Bubble are often a part of the problem... They become "Three Monkeys" like, and, worse, make excuses on behalf of those they volunteer for, or work alongside... I have been impressed with the Speedway Star over the last 12 months or so, as they have constructively challenged much of the nonsense those within "The Bubble" believe to be acceptable and fit for purpose.... From what you say, the danger is, (once again)... "Any Speedway, is better than nothing".... Is seen as acceptable, and almost a measure of success.. As we know, crowds have dropped significantly over the last two decades or so, on the back of that "Mission Statement"..

Who wants to watch football anyway - not me, it's as dull as.

No surprises really in this meeting, BV are very strong at home.

Should be a few more for the Aces visit as they are trying to organise a coach which, if it happens, would get 50 or so there... Plus, a fair few who will be driving down themselves, as me and my lad will... Second visits from teams will see a natural drop in away fans, as they have ticked the box of attending a new track.. The challenge for the promotion will be to have enough home fans when the away numbers dwindle to the usual minimal amount at most other meetings... A promoter several years ago, once told me that, by the end of the season, circa a third of the opening night attendance becomes the usual number there most weeks... 1000-1100 won't be too far away from his view being correct I would think... The favourites for the title should get a few more home fans there too than last night, especially given Kurtz and Doyle will be there. (Hopefully!)...

Surprised that's true - did he say that in the interview?
