  1. Past hour
  2. Can't see any reason why he wouldn't.
  3. I'd rather it the other way around. Cookie at home was very good two seasons ago. Batch is so much better away than he is at home
  4. Yes. The TV ones at Ipswich last season were not that much different to any other meetings in terms of length and stop/start. Now some people have an issue with the grading breaks 😁
  5. Today
  6. But Tai qualifies under the old rule that has been in the rulebook for several years, so gets his 8% reduction come what may.
  7. The league is a single competition so it makes no sense at all and is a positively stupid idea. [How for example do averages work with different team formats]. What might be workable [the Danes already do it] is different formats for the play-offs. However what would be an excellent idea would be for different formats for the KO Cup and the 'mystery' new competition.
  8. Yes that would make a lot of sense to have a different format and structure for the B fixtures. I think something along those lines is the only way of avoiding the monotony
  9. Do they have his other 2 clubs correct for 2026 ? And was he one of their announced riders before his accident ?
  10. Delighted to see Cook back this season. I’ve been critical of some instances involving him in the past, but a British speedway without Craig Cook is a sadder, less entertaining and lower in quality place. Really strong side being built at Northside.
  11. Do you think? I only ever went to the play off televised meetings and they were still very stop start with nothing going on between ad breaks. I suppose Mr Morris did standardise the track grading intervals so it probably seemed more like a non televised meeting even when the cameras were there due to this.
  12. might even see batch at 5 at home and cookie at 5 away
  13. They did though Ian, TV meetings were very drawn out in the Sky days and have been much more pacy since - surprised you can't remember? This is one of the things Mr Morris did improve. Just needed more fan involvement trackside (TV commentary & interviews over the PA would have been useful) .
  14. First thing I thought was that the League winners would have to wait 3 wks for the play off final and be at a distinct disadvantage due to the lack of racing time...
  15. I have a revolutionary new idea that will never take off. Let's encourage youngsters and those riders that have left the sport in the last few years back into the sport by reducing costs. Then I spotted Lord Lucan riding Shergar!
  16. He's going to have to find a way of ideally getting an 8 team top league and 8 team second division I think doubling up will have to stay due to shortage of riders. Given Poland and one other league in 2027 I think the long awaited reset will be forced to happen at most likely a sub current championship standard as if the Poland ruling happens most of the remaining top guns I would imagine will depart.
  17. Batch at 5 sounds great to me especially if Cookie/Tate can reform their partnership. Batch for 2 seasons has been the backbome of the side and gets knocked for his one off poor performances when over the whole he held the side together. This is looking one exciting team 🤩
  18. As part of my earlier Teams and Fixtures blog, which I posted about last month, I've now created a week-by-week fixtures list for all mainland European leagues and other relevant fixtures such as SGP, SEC, IMP and others. Obviously we don't have all fixtures as yet, so it's a work in progress, but once the remaining leagues publish their fixtures, I'll be adding them in as well. Everything is colour coded to make it easier to follow. Hope it helps for anyone planning any trips this coming season. 19. He’s totally right, it should have been discussed at the AGM, maybe it was but there was no mention in the statement
  20. Cook & Zischke together would leave Batchelor at 5, mostly paired with a reserve, so not sure on that. I'd generally have the 2nd heat leader at 5, especially if he's as good as a number one to give real strength in heat 13 especially. So far the team looks really decent (as long as Cook starts the season).
  21. Oh oops, didn't see that bit, but surely its gotta be the same rule across the board, as in all leagues, but then again it is Britain speedway we're talking about so god knows😆
  22. If you mean the 8% reduction mentioned in the recent AGM, this is for Championship only.
  23. I suspect you’re correct with that last line. 2 pointer or low 2 average with 5.00 from the continent is my best guess. I suspected it may be Max Perry but not sure he would fit in with the numbers. Anyone have any guesses on the potential second string?
  24. Takes his GSA down to 7.77 after adding the 2.5% British Reduction discount as well.
