  1. Past hour
  2. I think it’s high time everyone stopped using the word “potential” regarding Ben Cook. He’s 28 years old, not some up and coming teenager. Nobody would use the word potential with Adam Ellis any longer and he’s only a year older. Cook has reached his level.
  3. Lawson a lot less likely to injure himself plastering than Cook bowing to his Polish paymasters imo.
  4. Don’t think anyone will be particularly bothered who wins next year. Stewart Dickson said in the SS a few weeks ago that he doesn’t really want next season to be a sticking plaster, but I’m afraid that’s exactly what it’s going to be. It’s a case of just limping along, keeping the wheels moving at tracks and hope that something better is in the works for 2027 when the league can be taken more seriously.
  5. Today
  6. He came back at the end of the season riding very well, if he continues then he has a lot of scope for improvement. He is reliable and found riding in Poland easier than here with the injury he had.
  7. Glasgow will be top 4 with their seven. Hagon will soften the blow of losing Nagel. Big improvement in Flint's average and top two will be tough to dethrone around Ashfield.
  8. I’ve only heard a rumour that was swirling around at football on Boxing Day when stood in the away end at Millwall. Not sure sure I believe it as it would be very left field
  9. TBF if Ipswich run and it’s a five team league, it’ll be easier to put together a half decent team than previous years because there’ll be riders still available due to having two less teams than this year. The team Phil has named above, doesn’t look inspiring at first glance, but it would be very tough to beat at Foxhall. All have piled in the points there over the years, mostly due to the fact they’re all excellent trappers! You can add Luke Becker to that list also, another heavy scorer around Foxhall.
  10. I find it absolutely astonishing that people think this piece of dirt should be allowed back into speedway. There are lines between crimes and getting pissed and jumping on a bike, whilst completely irresponsible, is not in the same league as smoking crack and holding up an old woman at gunpoint. He is the lowest of the low. People need to hang their heads in shame comparing him to a rider who has failed a booze or drug test. It is crazy how he didn't get banned before he completely and utterly ballsed his life up. Have heard many stories about his behavior and drugs etc from well before he got banged up.
  11. It's been explained a million times 🙄
  12. Yesterday
  13. So, you reward his absence over the reliability of others due to potential?
  14. Maybe because he is better than most on his average and with more chance of improvement.
  15. TBH the points limit is pathetic considering the surplus of riders from last year with two less teams. I also wish there were no rules that highest on the averages has to be #1. RS & lowest average of the other 6 have to be 6 & 7. Otherwise position completely at discretion of TM... bring some craft back to it.
  16. Why would KLS retain Ben Cook who decided he was too injured to ride for them most of 2025 despite the fact he kept riding for Leszno when NKI & Lawson are surely available?
  17. What happened to Ashton Boughen? I thought he was supposed to be the new big young thing.
  18. When Garrity went public and made that video about what he did the first time around when he came out of prison does anyone know how close he came returning to speedway racing with getting his bikes ready etc /contract talks?!!! Maybe the bikes were there before he got taken back in,but if they were not its a massive ask to get up and running .
  19. Fook off mate 😂 happy New year, I'm nearly near enough for you to buy me a pint, just up the M5 in portishead 😃
  20. Calm down mate, happy new year!
  21. Absolutely no chance of shale going down again at Skegness. The shale track was massively off putting for the midweek holiday crowd for stock car meetings. What they have there now is one of the best tarmac stock car tracks in the country in terms of a mix of speed and action, with minimal track preparation required, and far cleaner for the 'once a year' holiday makers to have a family night out.
  22. We maybe struggling to complete the team, but we are not that hard up. From what comments I'm hearing from several fans, if this 🤡 was signed they would not go to speedway and some have not missed a home meeting since the 70s
  23. Difficult to tell without seeing the others, but looks a very good team for a 37 point limit. Castagna will be inconsistent, good meeting here and there, but struggle a little in more. But all the others will have a rider like that also.
  24. Nice space at belle vue for him 😀
