  1. Past hour
  2. True but before the superheat came along, you had 2 league points for an away draw and 1 point for a home one. So with Ipswich winning the superheat, not any difference in the end.
  3. I said all this when it was first introduced. The final heat in a match that ends as a draw is the exciting crescendo - that's it! The final heat in a match that ends 46-44 or 44-46 is most likely a tense or exciting crescendo - why is that result any different to a draw? The Stupid Heat is a gimmick. The usual BSPA/L "good idea" that is accepted without any testing or wargaming.
  4. Lol, they don't do that anymore thank god. Different dj now who doesn't do it.
  5. Agree with the above, but Pirates have been making heavy weather of getting the wins of late. All riders and teams tend to have "off" periods during a season, I'm just hoping that this is Poole's off period, and that they hit some real form come the sharp end of the season. Would be good to have Anders flying again, Smarte seems like he's sulking a bit not being top reserve, and have Cairnes getting a fews scores too.
  6. Need one for aggregate win, unless you go back to 1 v 1 run off.
  7. What like Poole fans sit in their wooden cranky seats with tartan rugs over their knees waving phone lights to sweet Caroline pathetic and cringeworthy 🤣🤣🤣
  8. Hi Phil, I assume it's too late to make changes now? Blodorn has the occasional decent race, although very inconsistent, but the two reserves are a worry. If changes can't be made then they need to up their game significantly.
  9. That has to be one of the funniest (and most accurate!) responses ever to one of the forums biggest trolls. Congrats!
  10. You’re absolutely correct. The only occasion a superheat could be worth considering would be to decide the aggregate point if/when the scores are level after the two matches. Or maybe not award one in the event of a tied aggregate?
  11. I read somewhere they only had 3 turnstiles/pay points open for the Knockout Cup final and that's what caused the delay.
  12. I don't see the need for it. If a meeting ends in a draw then it's already been an exciting end to the meeting with a lady heat decider. While some say it's extra value for money for fans & an extra heat to watch. That's not something fans can plan for, a fan on the fence about whether they go to watch a match, isn't going to day "you know what, let's go incase we get an extra race for our money". I just don't see what's wrong with a drawn meeting!
  13. Nicholls isn't an official is he, he's just part of the TV crew, he could ask them to arm wrestle for all I care. Surely the riders, managers or referee should have told him "no we need to do a coin toss"?
  14. Today
  15. It’s a silly concept … Ipswich deserved a draw last night and so did Belle Vue for battling back
  16. I hate the superheat The reason a meeting is a draw is because that’s the right result we don’t need another heat to determine that
  17. I might not agree with all Belle Vue fans on here….. but they are very vocal and loud at all meetings It’s just the usual Shovlar crap
  18. Don't see how you can plan for heat 15 with a super heat in mind. Whether you are in front or behind you will surely be targeting maximum points from heat 15.
  19. If, if, if. That's the whole point (pun intended). We will never know, so nobody can say with any certainty what would have happened.
  20. Out of interest with the delay "for a big crowd" what would you estimate the rough size was I'm guessing maybe a thousand ? it used to be a big crowd was north of £3k, it wasn't to many years ago when Poole came down on a bank holiday with Ward and Holder and Buster was quoting the biggest crowd since the mid sixties.
  21. We will never know the result if Lidsey had ridden. Nobody could have predicted what did happen last night. Race the same match tonight with the same teams and you'll get a different result.
  22. Potentially they could just save them for the super heat instead of having them in H15. I guess it depends what result is needed for a superheat at the time. Personally I don't mind a superheat, reason we got though to BSN SFs. Otherwise it would have been Scunthorpe. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ˜„
  23. Always seems to deliver great racing.... The secret is? .. Build your track around an American Football pitch like Wroclaw and the NSS did...
  24. Yes, I'm one of those that have proposed it. That then does at least then make it more of a "team" effort.
