It's been crap for years (bit like the teams Godfrey and co build year on year) 🤣 Not to fear though 2027 will be Palm Toft and Lambert's year -

Well you have to feel the pain of Scorpion fans, Pickering was good but not fantastic, Mountain Mr Second, the rest what can you say. To only score 29 when 15 are a given, says it all. If I supported Scunthorpe I'd be thinking about 2027. Scorpion fans you have my sympathy, you deserve better. -

I feel that's a little harsh on Ablitt, he hardly struggled at reserve as he raised his average so much he then got dropped the following season. So naturally gonna find it tough after racing a handful of NL matches & being thrust into the top 5. I'd blame the team selection, of picking him to be a second string in a struggling team rather than the rider not doing his job (as it's early days yet). The team looked the weakest by far, so I'm not surprised by the 61-29 scoreline, be interesting to see what they do at home in the 2nd leg. Wouldn't be surprised to see team changes on the horizon, almost surprised they didn't make a change as soon as Pickering got a new average. -
Apparently the new comets race suits are good, batch was up at worky on Tuesday practicing with cookie and Tate and a young Aussie. The 1st airing of the new race suit will be at Redcar on Friday. UTC 😀🏁🔵⚪

Well no surprise getting hammered. MPT once again showing no enthusiasm, totally unprofessional and needs to be sacked - can't see any other team signing him up. Ablitt struggled to be good enough at reserve and is totally out of his depth in the main team- another one who should never have been invited back. Only Picko and Mountain showing any fight, its time for a mass clear out. The crowd on Friday night will be very sparse no doubt and my prediction of early exit from KO Cup and BSN looks spot on. It can't get much worse as a supporter , who do we bring in to get more balance? Its ok to bring in a rookie reserve, but we can't carry 3 or 4 passengers as well! -

Not that I like to recall the event, but when Poole won at Ashfield last season, more often than not, their riders about turned on the back straight without acknowledging their fans and headed back to the pits. Cannot stand that. With all due respect, who do they think they are? Almost 500 miles and they didn’t even acknowledge them. -

Oxford 2026
TheWellBehavedWorrall replied to Youhave2minutes's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Bitterly disappointed to hear about Oxford’s situation. The Cheetahs return to racing represented a glimmer hope in an otherwise abysmal future for clubs of the past, such as Coventry, Swindon and Peterborough. It’s awful how exposed British speedway is. If it isn’t losing riders to challenge matches to Poland, it’s losing the ability to host meetings due to a reliance on other parties. We desperately, desperately need some sort of rejuvenation, very much like darts went through. -

First time I've been to home meeting for a couple of seasons, not sure on the new parade if the riders are going to stop and wave to fans at one end of grandstand then make sure they stop at the other end as well instead of just riding straight past! Cooper looked class tonight not great opposition i know but still looked good. -

Close. A paid maximum for young Rushen is remarkable. I remember seeing Dan Bewley riding for Edinburgh at that age and he looked more suited to second-half racing.
