  1. Past hour
  2. Not at all as he’s just a journeyman filling in for super Dan. We’ve had nothing to do with his progression not like those we are most well known for. Jason is more a product of and aligned with Somerset & Swindon.
  3. Tom’s 2024 average with Birmingham was 7.56 (inc bonus) from the tough second heatleader position. Tom’s 2025 average with Ipswich was 7.64 (inc bonus) from the easier third heatleader position. If that’s a great progression (0.08) then we will have to agree to disagree. Tom’s 2026 average with Ipswich is 6.26 (inc bonus) from the tough No1 position. I feel for the lad but he’s made his bed.
  4. Matej’s replacement has to make way as any other changes to the side have to meet the 37 point team building criteria. The only problem for Northampton is their obvious lack of home knowledge. The team put together might not be champions but neither would they be the whipping boys in any other season than this, their first. Had the modest losses at home been turned into modest wins then peoples opinion would be very different as they sit on 9 points in the table instead of 2. Bonus points would follow due to their ability to keep things close away.
  5. Today
  6. I would say August is still really the height of Summer so you may have to think of a better reply. I know Liontamer well and as a previous long standing supporter myself - 70 years for me - I fully understand his feelings. Speedway as a sport is great but all the endless delays between races is not. Numerous laps of watching a tractor go round, sun breaks, riders messing around at the tapes for ages is boring and sadly I don't miss it either.
  7. It seems to me Lynn is a track that you either ride well or not I believe many riders don't like riding there as they say the fence is less than forgiving .In his final season for Wolves PK threw a sicky ( almost unheard of from him)and would not ride at Lynn I assume for fear of injury .
  8. Anyone got any idea what average Batch is on in both championship and premiership?
  9. I am expecting Charles Wright to sign for Northampton upon his return.
  10. Yesterday
  11. Probably the right change - who would go to reserve? Batchelor? So effectively Zagar for Batchelor and a number 6 who should be capable of hitting higher scores than Jeppesen has been getting
  12. Owe it to him even for next year? At the Wednesday talk a couple weeks ago Coleman admitted he wasnt sure if he made the right decision sticking by the riders and not doing multiple changes to bring Doyle in. That loyalty might see him through this year, not so sure about into next. By the same reckoning King waited around as well? Everyone can't get a spot cause they waited this last winter when you know the team is being built differently. If theres only a spot for 1x 6/7 average guy, why does brennan get it ahead of anyone else?
  13. I think a lot of Witches fans will! 🙃 had the Stars lost then it was definitely 4 teams only!
  14. Club owe it to Tom imo. Can't watch his confidence be destroyed and then bin him off imo, It's only right that the Club stick by him through the re-building process. Tom could've signed elsewhere as an engine room rider or a No.5 instead of waiting all winter to ride @ No.1 for Ipswich.
  15. I get that he can ride in the champ but he won’t. There is no way he will add the championship to his season now. He will probably see it as a step back, he has just been unfortunate that things didn’t go well at Bydgoszcz this season, it’ll be a reset at the end of this season and go again with a different Polish club in M.2
  16. I wouldn't call it a disaster, not even sure it's a 5 horse race for the play-offs. Lynn having dropped 4 points at home (none scored away) and Witches having gained 2 points away (none dropped at home) is a great position for Witches to be in. My first thought was, its a great result for Lynn, as they try to avoid the wooden spoon. Don't really know what's happened to Brennan? Not the form I expected.
  17. Really, what football did he see in the height of summer? I ask because football season finishes early May and doesn’t start until mid August.
  18. Can't see that happening, his current converted average would be 10.69!
  19. I must admit having gone through all the heats I am a bit curious as to what changes should have been made? Batch was riding well. The only one perhaps missed apart from. Lidsey in heat 13 would be heat 8 and frankly Jeppeson was unlikely to lower Dans T colours! NKI wasnt really great but not convinced he would have improved on what he got in those heats I also disagree with him being clueless at Ipswich a few weeks ago he was on it with the reserve changes etc and forced a last hear decider!
  20. Really enjoyable evening, some good racing and a Lynn win, what's not to like. Witches finally sent packing.
  21. Bit of a disaster but these things happen, in terms of what's needed for the league it keeps it a five horse race for the play offs - for now! Lets hope the right people are helping Tom right now - form is temporary and all that! Agree with the comments from Mike above - he's having to ride against out and out no1s each meeting and that's not helping right not but he will get there!
  22. Just wondering how much longer Dickson will stick with Dan T at No.2. I know he has always liked a strong 1 & 2 pairing but this season the riders in these positions are the best two by some margin. The Lions can get away with this at home, but away the other partnerships are fragile. Everyone seems to think that the play off positions are nailed on with Lynn & Northampton missing out, but as things stand, the Lions look far from comfortable.
  23. Jonas was an impressive winner of heat 2 from the back with a very clever ride, puk looked out of sorts all night while Batch was on fire! Jonas could easily have replaced puk in one ride and probably Lidsey and/or Harrison, they were only 2 points down at heat 9, then blew it conceding 2 5-1's courtesy of puk and Lidsey
  24. Tom B is probably the bottom No1 in the league... A league of just six number ones... Meaning he rides against his opposite number three times per night, if he takes Ht15... Out of those six Number Ones, three are World Class GP riders, and one is a Polish top tier HL... And then you have No5's like Bewley, Doyle, Kvech, and Pickering with C Holder at a three.. Both Brennan, and also Lidsey, made great progression riding at No3 with two World Class HL's at one and five in their teams.. With just five teams to race, and three of them having top level GP riders at No1, being a non top level GP rider, and riding against them several times a night, can be both an average and a confidence killer.. And Ryan Douglas as the other No1 in the league is a very solid rider... With so few teams you won't be getting too many "easy" rides to increase your confidence should you need to... And not riding in Poland regularly won't help... Can a Championship side fit him in?...
  25. How bad of a team do you have to be to only score 36 against a side with 3 'Rising Stars'?? 🤣🤣
