  1. Past hour
  2. Looking at the gossip on this thread, next years team looks like Kurtz Blodorn? Brennan Lidsey Bewley Zischke? Cairns I know Richard likes what we do, but this is a tad too far imo. 🤣
  3. It’s a shame the south stand never got finished which keeps the capacity low. It’s even more of a shame that when the owns took issue with the situation, the cartel seized the opportunity to oust them rather than back them.
  4. Maybe do some research yourself, paying particular attention to the year you closed down mid season.
  5. Lawson always welcomed at Poole. On his average he’d be one of the first names on the team. But the 1 over 8 rule may scupper that
  6. He’s just become Longtrack world champion again. Let’s hope the health issues are behind him. I’d be happy to take the punt.
  7. I’m sure Victor will have lots of options. I just hope that one of them would be Edinburgh and he’d fancy coming back.
  8. But it isn't a statement of fact. And that is the issue .. No "factual" evidence has been seen or published, therefore the SCB shouldn't have come out saying that the rules were breached as, clearly so far, there is zero evidence to prove that "fact"... The ref made his decision based on the (inconclusive) evidence that showed that Cook "could" have ridden the white line and not crossed it.. Using the evidence available to him, he made the only decision he could, and should have... The SCB statement is, apart from how poorly written it is, quite baffling, and subjective, so not factual, and leaves both Pooles' victory, and the ref hanging out to dry somewhat...
  9. Today
  10. Thanks for that. We are getting somewhere! We both agree that the statement is poorly written (and wasn't well proof read before its initial issue). I have read the regulation a number of times. As the regulations don't include the words 'wholly' or 'completely', or indeed any other similar words, then any interpretation is just that - an interpretation. The relevant regulations also do not include the word 'tyre' (the only part which is contact with the track) nor say which part of the wheel has to cross the inner edge to constitute a disqualification (given that no part of the wheel is in touch with the track or inner edge. As you say - read ONLY the words in the original rule (regulation). The SCB could end this at a stroke, by giving more information and evidence on how it reached its decision. I'll bet the relevant regulations are amended for next season
  11. I haven't mention anything about detail. To be honest, the statement is pretty poorly written and could offered more explanation. The original wording even got inadmissible and admissible confused. But having come from the SCB, it is still means it is a 'statement of fact'. The rule was breached, end of, if the SCB say that it was. But the SCB statement does say something and I think you've missed it: "Having reviewed the regulation as written, this has been breached". Then read rule 012.1.11 and see what the rule does and doesn't say. And don't add in words such as "wholly" or "completely" when you read it. Read ONLY the words in the original rule and see what is written there. And then you'll see from the wording of the rule why it was breached.
  12. Wouldn’t surprise me to see: Bewley Thomson Harris Masters Lidsey McDiarmid Harrison
  13. No because because both riders are banned by the FIM. The FIM reaffirmed and extended the ban during its Board of Directors meeting in February 2026, keeping it in place across all FIM World Championships with no end date set
  14. Also the streams seem to be selling well, saves me a drive from worky 😄
  15. This year Bewley needed a wildcard, so anything can happen. Would the organisers need permission from a riders federation to offer them a wildcard? If not they could just put Emil & Artem in? If they do, Lambert getting a wild card for Germany. Wouldn't hinder any of their riders, as they wouldn't be in line for a wild card?
  16. Last year at Ipswich it was a perfect storm, with the result from the away leg, and they not winning the title for decades.. If they had got hammered in the first leg then the crowd would have been nowhere near the same I would suggest, and they certainly haven't got anywhere near that figure this season off the back of their title win.. And Tai was a three time World Champion and is the only British rider to do it, hence many were there to pay their respects to someone who has delivered something unique in GB Speedway... For UK Speedway 3,000 is a very decent crowd and possibly double what a run of the mill domestic meeting would have... All of the above shows though, that there is still a very healthy amount of followers of the sport in the UK, they just need some engagement to watch the qualifiers throughout the season, as well as the play off finals... Over to the UK Promoters to sort out the reasons why they don't...
  17. Don't know why they'd want to make the "rising stars" weaker? I thought 4.00 was a sensible cut-off.
  18. Given Rob works to a budget that would make British Rail proud that team looks far to expensive for his tastes.
  19. Ah I have heard rumours Doyley lives near me in Poringland but other people say he lives in Wymondham.
  20. I'm sure no rider is universally liked. But I do think Tom has wide support and like me, would like to see him rise through the ranks.
  21. I'm an imposter obviously. But deflection won't help! You still haven't said what you believe the SCB statement confirms in detail and how that will be applied in the next occurrence of such a decision that a ref has to make
