They did ride well. We scored a 4-2 in heat 2, Max got knocked off and they were never tailed off. Riding well doesn't always equate to scoring lots of points. On the other hand sometimes you can look at a score sheet and see a rider scored paid 4 from 3 rides and then when you look.more closely you find they didn't beat an opposition rider. Finally it is easy to criticise so what would your team have been? -
Extraleague Round 13 Fri/Sun 25th/27th July
ShanoXtra replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Touched a nerve much 😂 do your homework as Ipswich was sold out multiple times this year in the premiership. Last season we had over 29,000 average attendance and championship season before was 28,834 average and capacity is 29,673 so your revision needs some updating my friend! Half empty seats at Wembley with hardcore Man City for the cup… and you only have tourists since 2007 who help you fill the stadium, pre 2007 you were in decline. Your highest attendance in 1999 was 33,027 yet Maine rd capacity is 34,026… it wasn’t sold out, if you want to keep going we can. Stick to what you know… I’m not sure what that is but stick to it. -

Hard to know how good JJ will be, but credit to Berwick for making a signing. Even if he drops a point off his assessed average still strengthens the team. Certainly play-off challengers. -
Yes you do,outscored Plymouths reserves easily a few weeks back easily, hence Plymouth making changes

Your never going to please everyone but its not really any different from a football manager in a world cup group stage pulling off his best players as soon as the team have got enough points to qualify for the knockout round. - Today

Scunthorpe vs Poole 18.07.2025
SharpenRake replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Thank you. I unfortunately started all of this by asking, based on the updates, if a reason had been given for selecting the scunthorpe pairing for heat 15. I had hoped for an answer stating that the announcer or team manager had explained, for example, that a rider had aggravated an injury or another had suffered bike problems, etc. All I got back were what I considered to be assumptions or suggestions and you have confirmed that I was correct in thinking this. Hopefully no one did aggravate an injury or suffer expensive machinery problems. -
Yes but are hoping to go back grasstrack next year and will be using a new 350 GODDEN for one year then 500 long track the next year ..

Good signing for Berwick , will make them strong contenders for the play off places. -
The rule for the play offs imo doesn't stop teams using different guests,it just stops the riders from guesting from different teams. So for instance Ipswich could use Kvech,Klindt and NKI for instance as long as they haven't ridden for anyone else.Unless I have read that wrong.

King's Lynn Stars 2025
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
100% agree Perhaps another example of a poorly written regulation as I would presume that it was meant to cover teams eliminated in prior rounds but it doesn't state that After all the plan was for the 2 semis to gave each leg on the same nights which would've prevented this situation I believe the play offs is different and the regulation is written to ensure a rider only turns out for 1 team at any point in the 'mini series' -
Any 'solution' is open to abuse... Imagine if lynn were on 35 points in 4th place and Belle Vue in 5th on 34 points... they would find excuses for not racing on any potential rerun dates... lynn get deducted 2pts, belle vue automatically finish 4th... If today had not been cancelled, belle vue could have turned up to race, refused to ride due to state of track...meeting postponed....and you get same issue..
