Northampton vs Ipswich June 29th

Crowd was down to around 1000-1100, I'd reckon, and it was poor entertainment at times. Batchelor did actually try hard and deserved his win, while Jeppesen just didn't look interested. I think the track got to some of the riders, and some of the Foxes veterans were unwilling to take the risks younger men might've. It is what it is, and it'll be like this all season. Hopefully there'll be a second go-round next year to get it right - is Alun Rossiter free? -
Sad news...saw him at action at Arlington a few times. RIP

Bit of a stupid comment.IMO
-
1979 finalist and former Eastbourne rider Robert Slabon passed away on Sunday.
-
Wasn't a classic but seen worse meetings. Expensive night for Kildemand! đĽ
-
Can they not just keep Jenkins till Battye is fit, then Battye replaces Fedriksen as he has a lower average than him?
-
Got a 5-1 with batch to take it to a last year decider đ. Or as I saw it a comets 5-1 đ
-
September 2nd is the next available Wednesday when neither Oxford or Poole have a match. Is there a cut-off date ahead of the play-offs? Do they have an "off racenight"?
-
Track a taxi ride from the centre, but a premier inn is 5 minutes walk from the track, but it's not a cheap one, I've paid over ÂŁ120 for when the Comets are down, but can cancel on the day if required. As said to save what will be an 8-10 hour drive, if you can get a cheapish easy jet flight to Bristol may work out , but your still talking of a few hundred ÂŁs . But it is a cup final and its certainly an experience going to the Plymouth polo mint shape/ size track đ˛

Next year will be different for them imo. Like Ipswich, They were left behind with Team Building, Difference is Ipswich had a couple of loyal riders who were willing to wait for them as a starting point, Then they snapped up the best two riders available in Musielak and Lawson. Northampton had to start from scratch entirely, Kye Thomson has been a top signing for them and I think young Luke Harrison is starting to find his feet so that's a couple of positives and a starting point for 2027.
-
Battye has said he wants to be back for Friday so IF thatâs happening i guess the decision is already made and we will be finding out very soon.
-
Then i would still moan about it. Could understand it if it was 8 or 9pm kick off. But no way will it go to penalties imo.
-
Just read it after I posted. Correct call.
-
Agree, Will more than likely be pushing 8.00 imo but the good news is that Brennan's average will drop considerably at this rate so it kind of levels things out.
-
You'll have a job seeing as it is not on lol
-
If the Promotion have ambitions which they claim itâs pretty obvious what needs to be done on that matter .IMO

You'll have to hope Wroclaw pay for that team..... -
Well England play at 5pm so I wouldnât have coming on Wednesday to Oxford as I want to watch the match (probably suffer it) with friends. Would have bought the stream for the meeting instead. Totally the right call to postpone.
-
Agree, I'm more than happy to have Tom back even if he struggles for the rest of this season, We all know his true ability and as I stated for Musielak in the winter, One bad season doesn't make you a bad rider. One of Bewley or Doyle and One of King or Lawson and that should be the Top 4 for 2027 imo.
-
It didn't what's the deadline for signing Jenkins and freeing Lasse?
-
Correct. Ideally you pick him up after one of his bad seasons and on a cheap average, when youâve built a strong team and challenging. Glad to have him of course, but does seem a bit of a waste this year if you get my drift. Average will surely be a bit more hefty next year.
-
I was shocked when none of the other big clubs picked him up. Barely anyone gets along with Buster hence why he's only got a few Numbers in his book, Birmingham didn't even have a Semi-Professional set up off the track. Happy Musielak in a professional set up is a consistent Heat winner.
-
Think we all knew theyâd finish bottom. They had even less to pick from than Ipswich! I agree with you even though Iâm an Ipswich supporter. I wouldnât have minded one bit if Northampton picked up the win here, weâre not going to win it this year anyway. Where is the âhelpâ that was said theyâd be getting if results werenât forthcoming? They need some home results, the whole league needs Northampton to get home results. Doyle would have been very handy for them..

Iâm thinking Brennan & Musielak will be the first on the team sheet for 27 & Iâd be quite happy with that. -
Track sounds like Cleveland Park was in about 1989!
