Belle Vue v Birmingham Mon 18th August PL2

What would be the need for that, Mulford said he was testing different bike before hand, I would hope and expect others were to. -
Villads Nagel is looking like he will give him a run for his money for best newcomer. Nagel hasn't had the benefit of starting from reserve but has been hugely impressive so far, he can gate, can pass outside, inside and cut back. He's had 7 matches and been paid for double figures in his last 5. Nagel has still to go to tricky away tracks Armadale (1 possibly 2 times), and Wimborne Rd (1 possibly 2 or 3 times) but so far is averaging above McDiarmid - who didn't have a great meeting at Ashfield this week, although unusually despite being taken out of his 3rd ride for Masters, McDiarmid still got into heat 15

King’s Lynn Stars vs Oxford Spires - 18.08.25

its done most weeks unless there is an incident meetings at lynn are usually completed within 90-100 mins its a myth that they always drag on -
Everyone has forgotten we were favourites to beat kings Lynn as well on previous form in the cup… look how that turned out 🤦🏼 anything goes in the play offs, I just think we have too many riders you can’t fully rely on at the moment. I agree this season has been brilliant, but we do all know how just one off day for a rider can ruin your success. At least we have talking points and nothing is a given for the play offs, we don’t even know who will face who as everyone still faces each other in the league.

I’ve seen two people on here now come out with “Leicester will win it and they’ll deserve it” and it’s fried my brain. Neither have come back with any reasoning behind that statement. They COULD win it, of course they could. So could any of the other three because speedway can be unpredictable and lots of weird and wonderful things can happen over two legged meetings. But I’m struggling to understand how anyone can currently say that the second placed team, who have lost out on aggregate twice already against the top placed team (isn’t that a shocker?) are going to win it and deserve to. Sorry that’s b0llocks.

Doyle and Emil and King and Ellis did not have the best meetings and they still only lost by 8, you know that when the play offs come around they will all be much better, I cannot see how Ipswich can lose unless Howarth is more successful next time in his attempt to take Doyle out.

zagar still got it at 42. some good races, but cook blodorn and Tate, not going to get us past the semi's. -
We have took the bonus twice against Leicester one time without Doyle and Thompson and thumped Belle Vue twice We are the favourites against any side in the play offs … but anything can happen

hes not quite the rider he used to be imo

Think Birmingham can be satisfied with that, probably expected Aces to score at least 60. -
Eh? That’s absolutely nuts. We’ve taken the aggregate bonus off them in both rounds of fixtures, the second round overwhelmingly so, and we’ll finish above them in the league. But they’ll suddenly beat us over two legs in a final (if we both get there), and they’ll also deserve it? Put the crack pipe down.

The worrying thing for me is that Ipswich lost by 8 when Becker isn't up to speed on British tracks yet since his injury. Leicester can only get stronger once Becker settles back in.

Dear BSN, Please don't show another Spires meeting this season as they're comical at this point. -
Maybe the team will be left with riders staying at the same numbers? Every time Ipswich have moved the riders about it's backfired (Sheffield and Kings Lynn spring to mind).

No Buster on the tractors tonight meeting finished by 9-15, just shows it can be done. -
As good as Leicester are I think some Ipswich fans are over reacting We lost by 8 tonight but won the home fixture by 18 …. 10 point win on aggregate We lost at home to Leicester earlier in the season when we had no Doyle or Thompson and still won on aggregate by 4 I’m certainly not saying we will definitely win over 2 legs but I still don’t see Leicester as favourites against us based on performances so far this season I do hope this is the final though as it will be good close racing and close in the scores
-
Full credit to Leicester and they should do the double this year and well deserved it will be. Ipswich just aren't right at all this year, I really don't know what's happend to Doyley and Emil but they've both gone backwards. It was the reserves who got Ipswich to the top of the table and now they've lost one of them and JJ may not find his early season form again for the rest of 2025 when he does return.
-
And to add to that he got 3 points out of 4 rides from Ipswich vs Kings Lynn so that throws your theory out the water.
-
Agreed. Easily the best two teams away from home and do not rely on throttle jockeys.
-
No he beat your riders as well as there are three riders on track.
-
I’ve still got my reservations that we beat Belle Vue in the semi-final! For the league 1 point for bonus is acceptable but I can see us doing this in one of the play off matches and losing it completely, we are far to hit and miss at the moment, Emil and Doyle are even at it this year which is very concerning… I had no confidence in heat 13 or 15 tonight, contrasting from the last few years. The meeting was great to watch though and the parents went and said a good atmosphere as well…another one which should have been on TV to get people enjoying the sport but missed!
