  1. Past hour
  2. If TTT leaves there will only be about eight of us rattling around in here.
  3. I would at a guess 70-80% on here are ex fans desperate to see it succeed but equally as things currently stand wouldn't be tempted back.
  4. Those in charge ought to take a look at the comments on here and get some understanding of why they have failed the punter.
  5. Doesn't he ride for Oxford? Isnt he only guesting.
  6. Group 3 result from Pila today Torun 4 Pila 3 Lublin 2 Leszno 1 Cumulative after final round Torun 11- qualified Lublin 11 - qualified Leszno 10 Pila 8
  7. And that's the most baffling thing of all... They have been doing the same thing for a long, long while, whilst Rome has been constantly, slowly, and gradually, burning around them... Many of us on here have "forever" pointed out the only inevitable conclusion to the situation, given all the evidence in front of our eyes... You certainly didn't need a crystal ball to be now saying "we told you so", nor any hindsight... You have to hope that, finally, those who have buried their heads firmly into the sand, are now, at last, going to make those radical changes so desperately needed... The ones they should have made after COVID... A huge undertaking to be honest given there is so much self inflicted nonsense to unpick, and the fact no one has already done it given its obvious need doesn't exactly inspire confidence that the leadership skill set exists, (as surely someone would have already stepped forwards to try and sort things).. However. Good luck to whoever is leading the plan... Getting the leagues to mean something, be relevant, have tangible rewards that create interest, and a joined up national marketing plan, has to be the main objective, as everything else will fall into place when delivering that..
  8. Don't be so mean Iain Kind Reageds Iain
  9. Witches to win by about 12 points, looking forward to my first visit as down this way with work
  10. When you say I you mean we will still attend. The Premier league will unfortunately have to be watered down to encourage 2 clubs to come up The championship then needs to be watered down and some how incorporate some of the development league Not sure Mayfield like it, unless they are able to help the sport source a big TV deal I personally still feel an extended British Championship is most likely to attract new fans to a one-off big meeting than a local club has of attracting a new fan to be a regular
  11. Today
  12. Not everyone is cruel like you. He can make his own mind up without you poking your snout in. Knob head.
  13. I think you're right. Speedway has bred a generation of riders who want to have their cake and eat it: they want to earn their bread and butter in the UK leagues and chase the Polish Zloty to put the jam on top. This forces the British promoters to dance to the Polish tune when trying to plan the home fixture list. This can't go on. We've blamed the promoters for years for the mess we're in, but nobody points the finger at the greedy riders whose jet-setting international ambitions leave the promoters tearing their hair out week after week to put on a do-able programme of racing. If British speedway is to survive, 2027 has to be the year when we revert to a single nationwide league (see my previous posting) and riders are forced to decide: either sign a contract to race exclusively for one of the 15 teams in a revived British speedway league, or clear off and ply their trade elsewhere. I reckon the promise of 36+ guaranteed matches per season without the need for expensive international travel - albeit in a slightly less competitive league - will be more than attractive to the vast majority of riders. For the rest we're probably better off without them. And for those people who always argue that there aren't sufficient riders around to run a 15-team league without doubling up, it may come as a surprise to learn that the list of registered riders on the BSL website runs to 249 names. It's time for speedway to bite the bullet or face the inevitable.
  14. 3rd !!! May know after Scunny meeting
  15. May be a good signing, likely to stay at reserve. Fit from grasstrack and been going well. Used to like Poole track. £rd in British Final at Poole in about 2009
  16. There was a posting on Facebook. Very lengthy and wordy, I think from the owners/one of the owners of the stadium, basically suggesting speedway will never return at the stadium. I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned on the forum? Steve Ribbons made a short comment at the time. Whether there are now more comments I don't know? Basically, the lady was saying, speedway is not sustainable at the stadium.
  17. There is nothing on the Ipswich preview but just read on the Sheffield website that he is injured
  18. Doesn't make you any less of an idiot.
  19. There's more of them than you realise - Scott Nicholls also has a day job and he does this during the season as well, so with two UK teams he's still not 100% employed in speedway. I just caught up with this meeting and have to say what a boring meeting it was. Belle Vue have done this a few times this season but in some of them, at least the home riders missed a start or two so had to pass the opposition - for this meeting no-one seemed to pass anyone beyond the first couple of corners. Maybe it's just the hot weather as most tracks have been very slick and dry over the last few weeks but there was definitely more entertainment at Foxhall in recent matches. Just saying.😉
  20. 14.07.2026: Ekstraliga U24, R9, Gorzów: https://youtu.be/ns3FdDLR3o0?is=UK9IcPgiQXBgrmPQ
  21. Indeed.... Well meaning people doing things that once may have worked... By now, every team should have the emails, mobiles, and personal details of each of their fans who attend... Eg, if they haven't seen that fan purchase a ticket for two matches, send them an email and text offering reduced entrance to the next one.. Send them Xmas cards, birthday cards etc etc, plus to their family if they have young kids.. A complete database would be not more than 3,000 (if that),... With circa 600 seats empty every week in the GS, you would have someone sending emails and texts all day Saturday to Monday from 8am, offering reduced price, free kids tickets etc.. By Monday morning you will know what the crowd will be like given those who pay on the night will be a certain parameter number... Flogging 300 seat tickets for £15 and 300 standing for a tenner each on a Monday would bring in £7.5k you were more than likely not getting.. And. If people start to take the "Erik Riss" and stop buying in advance, in the hope they got a reduced ticket, then just stop doing it for a meeting or two.. I used to restrict all my promotions if I thought a private shop was coming in and buying in bulk to resell... Richard Coleman said that just 300 extra at every track was a big deal.... The beauty of which is you don't need the same 300, just get 300.. So much "digital gold" is at at your fingertips to brng in punters these days.. Every track should employ at least one person to do it direct market style, using their fan database.. Or maybe get them to put leaflets on car windscreens in supermarket car parks.
  22. After his recent meeting at Buxton, & rumoured after meeting spin at Sheffield, is there any chance a club will take a punt on Garrity ?
  23. I will pop over with that sort of service.
  24. Very good Mike, if only mind it was thus, mind you i'm doing some investment mentoring to my youngest son and his best friend for their A levels tomorrow.
