Cant just do 5, do the whole team I know you're a troll but come on
-
Doyle 41, Bewley 27, King 40, Riss 31, Nilsson 36, Cairns 17 and Foord 20 I make that average 30. Even if you discount the rising star its 32 not 36

If this is to be the Ipswich team then it’s another tick on my Coleman BS bingo card. Coleman has stated the need for younger teams as his top five last year had an average age of 37. This year by sticking to his principles he has managed to get it down to 36. Little wonder he has raided the Belle Vue Babes in an attempt to get his total team average down. They do say imitation is the best form of flattery. Thank you Richard. One interesting quote on the 360 Podcast. “stressed that if the sport doesn't make an active, interventionist decision to "plant the tree today," it has no future” What I wasn’t expecting was rather than plant the tree he decided to rip one up from another garden and plant it in his. Top guy. Stay tuned for more Coleman BS bingo to follow. Get yer dobbers out.

If Belle Vue for example try to block a move for a 4.50 Nilsson. Then Ipswich should block a Belle Vue move for Pawelczak on a 6.00. Introduce a new rule in 2027 that states all non-GP top tier Polish League riders will be given a minimum 7.00 assessed average due to them being classed as part of the Elite. Pettiness can work both ways.

If he could ride at no 6, I think he'd be worth a shot. But if he has to ride in the top 5 due to being over 21, I wouldn't take him on.
-
Can't whack a couple of points on someone's assessed average purely based on them having a great night in a one off meeting. It's the GP qualifying criteria that's silly because any half decent rider is capable of having a good night on the bike to a point where they find themselves in the GP's. Nilsson has been riding in the lowest Polish tier for Landshut along with riders like Leon Flint, Erik Riss, Charles Wright. Other riders in that League are Thorssell, Masters, Lahti and co. which is British engine room standard. This year Mayfield were rumoured to sign Thorssell at one stage on a 4.50 and as I highlighted last night Oxford signed Gusts on a 4.50 in 2025 while Nilsson doesn't meet criteria's mentioned in the 2026 rule book. Therefore everything points towards 4.50 even if I admit that it's a little on the low side.

Riss or Kemp? Both are risks, if you take aside the illness then I'm sure 99 out of 100 you pick Riss and the 1 is Kemps mother. If it is Rissk then as mentioned on here you have to have a back up plan in your team No matter how happy people were to see Danny back I'd have gone with Brennan over Danny, if Nilsson is a 4.5 then yes, and would have allowed for a much stronger rider over Riss/Kemp etc.
-
I do really like this team however not sure about Erik Riss. I do feel sorry for him about his illness but at the end of the day it is a big risk factor for Ipswich. Drew Kemp is a much better, younger pick.
-
With around 6 to play with, he’s probably the most reliable option, good team rider, experienced. I agree it’s not an exciting signing and I’d rather young rider who could really push on like Mcdiamid or a rider new to the league

It’s a sad state when we’re all debating what average Kim comes back on. I said it before if it’s Nilsson I’ll be disappointed, a 36 year old who hasn’t riden in the uk for 10 years & rode in the polish 3rd tier last year. Same with Riss Not the exciting box office youngster we were expecting. Colemans interview hinted at a couple of star under 21 riders hopefully Carines & the other will be in place of Nilsson/Riss in the suggested line up. Still time for Rushen to move over the border. -
wherever it is they might have to pay him £100 a point though.
-
Looking likely for 2028.

Thats referring to them getting an actual average once the seasons going. They will come back assessed according to the chart and after 6 applicable meetings then earn an actual average. Which may be sooner or later than the end of a month when new averages are issued across the board. Since '24 everyone returning has been assessed, janowski, kildemand etc etc I dont see why this will be any different and according to the stars fan on the other forum the rumoured ipswich team would need him to be the 4.50 to fit Let's wait and see, we have only actually announced king so far

Thank you
-
The same rulebook also stats; "010.2.1 - Any rider returning to British Speedway on an established MA, achieved prior to 2024 will establish an updated MA after completing 6 applicable meetings." "010.2.3 - With the approval of the BSP LTD GC or Directors." It's not guaranteed a reassessment will be issued or the assessment table being used.

Taken from the 2026 rule book. As he has been absent for more than 3 seasons he will be reassessed according to the chart we have been referencing which points to him being 4.50
-
Kildermand signed for Lynn in '22 on a 7 something then got injured when he joins oxford in '25 hes been reassessed to a 6.00 Fairly sure the assessed average rules changed from '24 onwards On current form and recent examples hes a 4.50 Janowski another example joining on an aassessed not his old average
-
Best examples on existing average was Nicki Pedersen 2011 8.61, returned in 2023 on that exact average. Jason Crump 2009 11.07, returned on 8.00 assessed in 2021, he was retired for 8 years. There's absolutely no reason what so ever, not to use Kim Nilsson's average from 2017 after previous examples.

King's Lynn Stars 2027

Buster owns his own stadium and takes all the income. Poole can only rent theirs and get no income from food/beverage, car parking etc but have all the usual meeting costs so have to run on a tighter budget, which is why the Fords work so hard on sponsorship and attracting decent crowds. -
Got to be better option than Paco given the amount of contacts Poole have.
-
Oxford signed Francis Gusts in 2025 and he was given an assessed 4.50 average when competing in the Polish 2nd Tier. Kim Nilsson rode in the Polish 3rd Tier last season (National League) and he doesn't meet the GP criteria in the rules, Also nothing in the rules about being the National Champion of your Country. Kim's last average is also irrelevant because it was 9/10 Years ago. Unless other Clubs want to be petty by demanding the rule book to be re-written just to block Kim Nilsson from competing in Britain then he'd meet the 4.50 criteria per the current rules.
-
Doyle 8.62 Riss 5.05 King 7.17 Nilsson Bewley 8.56 Cairns 3.00 Foord RS Pretty sure this is the team that is/will be declared. There’s 4.6 left to fit in Nilsson. Either the club also believe he’s 4.50 going by the current regulations, or Coleman didn’t make a mistake in his recent interview and he’s playing by his own rules and building to 40 whilst everyone else is building to 37 😁

We potentially lost quality as we made it unaffordable for scores of riders who couldn't make it pay. I believe it was Dean Machine who pointed out the staggering numbers of in particular British riders lost to the sport in the last few years. Why do we keep going for quality in a vained attempt to keep a dwindling fan base.
